Except the ONLY flaw folks find in CJ is that he isn't the greatest under pressure. But he is an assassin in the pocket. 

 

Whereas Bryce can't play from the pocket, and runs around until he finds a lane. 

 

I'll take the guy that can carve you up from the pocket. Oh, and maybe last 10 years longer.

Every post you make is knocking Young and touting Stroud.

Get it out of your system between now and Thursday because you won't be detailing every thread with Stroud hugging after the draft.

Seems legit.

Bryce had to improvise more because of talent In 2022, which he was just as successful with.

In 2021 he got the ball out plenty fast because he had talent giving him time and receivers that got open.

CJ Stroud was in a very friendly QB scheme with lot of talent and was able to get the ball out fast, CJ has demonstrated when that wasn’t possible he got statistically worse and didn’t have the same success.

The difference here is Bryce was successful when he had to improvise where as CJ was demonstratively less successful.

Vs a guy coming from a NFL system playing under a NFL OC/QB coach.  With a OL that wasn’t even top 100 Nationally with a bit so good WR group.

 

So if a QB is successful, it must be his supporting cast? Whatever happened to raise the talent around you? 

 

I guess I should have figured it would be the same ol same ol. CJ has talent around him in a QB freindly system. Bryce did it all on his own. 

 

God forbid we take Bryce. He'd better walk on water. Cuz it's the only way he lasts until that second contract.

I think Young has gotten in to a habit of extending plays even when he doesn’t have to. He will have to change that up in the NFL and take what is available more often. But that should be an easy transition in my opinion.

Right or wrong, I think they put a lot of stock in that S2 and actually believe it changed their mind. Thus the huge media and Vegas flip flop.

Scheme is a big part. If I remember correctly PJ Walker had the quickest release time of all QBs during his run of starts last year. Is that because he's a great QB with poise and calmness in the pocket or because they set it up for him to get the ball out quickly?
