Could a trade be on the horizon...(Vegas shift at number 2)

Vegas has now shifted Levis to be selected number 2 in the Draft. There have been numerous  signs pointing at The Colts loving him and recently Houston beat writers have mentioned him too. This could pit them both against each other and we could possibly drop to 2 or 4 and still net one of AR or Stroud.   This would be the perfect time to be on the phones with the Colts.

Trust the GM and coaches. Their jobs depend on this.

Trust me, I have no choice but it is a bunch of stuff going on between  them 2 teams and then supposedly  at 3 the Cardinals are getting a ton of calls. Indy could very well be getting nervous if they are really on Levis.

If they do trade back (which I don’t see happening at this point) I do agree that it would be for AR. But I’m pretty confident Bryce will be the pick at this point because the reporting, both nationally and locally, hasn’t changed for a few weeks now.

Now if something in the reporting changes next week then I’ll believe he isn’t the pick but for now, I think it’ll be him.

Yeah I always thought AR is the #2 QB on our board. That's why the trade back rumors started. I think it's Young #1 or AR if they decide to trade back last moment.

Either way im happy.

That's cool, but all this negative talk about Bryce Young is getting annoying.

All yall complain about is his size, size, size!

What about his ability to play QB at a elite level? What about his ability to make plays after the play breaks down? What about his ability to take command of the offense?

His size seriously affects his ability to play QB at an elite level in the NFL.

I mean he hasn't taken a snap in the league yet for you to definitively say that though, that's the issue. It could, yes, but it's no way of knowing for certain yet because it just hasn't happened.

Kyler Murray seemed to played it well enough so far.

Who's to say Young can't do the same or better?

Injuries have more to do than just being small. Cam Newton was 6'6 250 and he stayed banged up now his career looks to be cut short at the age of 33.

I didn't mention injuries.

I guess I feel like Strouds struggles handling pressure and working off script, Levis’s pressure/accuracy issues, and Richardsons accuracy could eventually limit an offense just as much if not more than Youngs size. The offense we are rumored to be building looks to be heavily RPO and empty sets both of which Bryce excels at. Eagles and Chiefs were in shotgun a ton last year

All these guys have flaws that can dictate what you can and can’t call, the difference is Bryce will be able to move you in and out of plays, read the defense, and help us maximize his strengths.

Every QB has a system that maximizes their Strengths and it’s up to the coaches to get it out of them. Our coaches clearly seem to think the talent and what he brings compared to the others outweighs any offensive limitations.

Good post. Your evaluations of the top rated QB"s in the 2023 NFL Draft were very accurate and concise.

I especially like your statement about how Bryce Young is different than the other 3 top rated QB's.

I feel sure lots of people said that at ever level he has played and he has proved them all wrong, so I see no reason he will not prove the present naysayers wrong again.

Can't trade back to 4 and end up with Levis. 2 is fine.  I think I've shifted my stance to Richardson,  young,  stroud.  Might as well go for the home run with a large chance of striking out

Fans think that way.

Guys whose jobs depend on being right, not so much.
