Just from my viewpoint:

CJ's not quite comfortable with the nationally televised interviews just yet. But he has a confidence I like in a QB. I think the team would rally behind him. Behind the scenes he seems like the type of teammate you'd want in your locker room. Has that fire in him.

With Young, the Bryce you get here is the Bryce you get at all times. Just a calm collected dude. More of a lead by example type...media training not a priority in the least. Seems coachable..

Lol, it's almost like a lesser charismatic Cam vs Wilson personality matchup.

Idunno, just give me the one with the most heart and determination. The one that hates to lose. Either way I'll be happy.

Wanted Stroud at first but Bryce is growing on me.

The Bryce media tour thing is a little weird to me. I don't doubt either ones desire to compete, it's just been an odd few weeks. I can't remember if another potential first pick did this much voluntary media the week before the draft

Exactly. I dont have a horse in the race but if I had to choose one, give me the one that hates to lose just as much as Cam Newton did

Love Cam but he had 3 winning seasons here.

We're still doing this? He was the only MVP in franchise history. He came in and changed the culture of the team. Guys used to just be happy with their contracts and go home. Cam despised losing to his core. We needed that. Hopefully whomever we draft we are getting some of that again.

Trevor Lawrence was on every show under the sun the week of the draft. The only difference now is that podcasts are much more prevalent now.

you also probably notice it more bc we have the number one pick and he is mocked by 90% of the to go to us.

his interview cycle isn’t unusual. It’s just unusual to us.

But it changed nothing, really. Because of Ron. Cam could hate losing as much as he did, and he was very visible about it at the podium after every loss. But at the end of the day that losing culture absolutely did not change. I love Cam. To this day he is the only autographed NFL jersey I own. But Ron is the reason the culture didn’t change around losing while Cam was here.

It’s good to have your best player hate it like Cam did, but without the coaches and ownership hating it just as much, if not more, it doesn’t change. Ron was a let down. Hopefully Frank will be that guy for us.

    • I don't get the Hunter hate. Just imagine his ceiling if he stopped trying to be this 2way freak and focused on one side of the ball
    • 100%.  You have to play the cards that are dealt.  Not the cards you wish were dealt.
    • I'd say its definitely going to be addressed this off-season.  We went into the last draft with a roster of RBs including:  Chubba, Blackshear, and Miles Sanders. We picked Jonathan Brooks in the second and still signed Rashaad Penny afterwards.  Fast forward....One turned into a top 10 back, 1 is injured/out for most if not all the '25 season, 1 retired, 1 will either take a huge paycut or be cut, and the last is a restricted free agent. We brought in Mike Boone as well. Add him to the free agent list also.  We need a physical option.    Which qualifies:  Ashton Jeanty(Boise St): Overall ranked Top 10. Almost 2k yards after contact, 28 tds. Would take our first rounder. My money would be on an NFC East team selecting him. (97.2 PFF run grade) - 121 forced missed tackles.  Omarion Hampton(UNC): Ranked everywhere from 20 - 59 overall. Consensus #2 back after Jeanty. He'll be a second rounder. 1,222 Yards after contact w/ 15 tds.  (90.5 PFF run grade) - 72 forced missed Tackles Kaleb Johnson(Iowa): Ranked from 38 - 69 depending on which media outlet you prefer but generally #3. 2nd/3rd possibly. 1,060 Yards after contact w/ 21 tds.(86.7 PFF run grade)- 66 forced missed tackles Cam Skattebo: Ranked from the 50's - 104. Every mock I do he ends up BPA at some point. 969 Yards after contact w/ 17 tds(92 PFF Run Grade). Probably the best receiving back of the group. 81 forced missed tackles.  If the '24 and '25 draft classes were combined, IMO the rankings would be, in order: Jeanty, Hampton, Brooks, Johnson, Skattebo. I wouldn't take one high but I'd take one for Chubba and Brooks insurance.
