russ has to diet to play below 225, little different body type.

5’11” 204 at the combine. Maybe Russ in his 30s has that issue. Bryce is only 21 which means his body will naturally get thicker as he ages and the NFL dietitians won’t have trouble adding some weight to his frame.

I have been a Stroud guy during most of this process, but the thing that changed my mind on Young was this: my son is a smaller QB for his age, and I want him to have a role model who wears a Panthers jersey. Bryce seems like a good one to pattern your game after as a QB who is smaller in stature. I would still be excited about CJ, but the father in me wants Bryce.

The NFL needs him to succeed. Steph changed basketball from a tall person's game to an any person's game--that's huge for marketability and significantly expands your future player pool.

Bryce can be the same for the NFL, especially in an era of youth football numbers declining, more people worried about life-changing injuries, player retiring in their 20s and early 30s. They will probably institute rule changes over time to support him to--just like the NBA basically did for Steph (even though they'll never admit as much).

Look how articulate you’ve become moving over here to gods country

Steph is 6'3"ish, not that out of the ordinary. He doesn't get those comparisons because of height

I personally don’t think you have anything to worry about.  Young is going to be great.  I understand this idea that he has always played for great teams, back even back to high school.  People ding him for that which to me makes no sense.  He elevated his teams.  Bryce is special

Don't get too cocky. You haven't been far from it.

I hope all the mods will be more lenient come draft time.  This is one of the more emotional drafts for us in memory.  Thanks for what you do but folks will get a little nuts

Why are you comparing Bryce to Steph? Steph is 6'2", Iverson was shorter. Steph is not short for a PG.

I think Muggsy Bogues is a better comparison. At the most, Spud Webb. 5'6" 133 pounds, now that is undersized for a PG.

I can't make any promises. Someone gets too drunk/pissed and goes way off the rails then I'll put them in timeout, but I don't plan on being strict.

But if we draft Levis I'm banning everyone and then myself.
