You can't live like that. You leave your own awareness and understanding up to those serving you poo on a platter.

The little guy is one dimensional and will be easy to shut down because he's not even better than Tua coming out of college.

The BY hopium is soooo unrealistic. Some people although great in college, don't make it to/in the NFL. That's life, but trying to keep hope alive using the #1 pick, dumb.

Now they'll have to keep little man alive among GIANTS.

You want to see him killed.

Believing everything is dumb. People lie. Some people live in a lie. I don't have to live in YOUR imagination or believe CNN, FOX because you do.

Not a damn robot, not your sheep, not your dog to vaccinate.

It’s well known amongst scouts and coaches that Bryce Young is by far the best Qb prospect to come out of Alabama in decades. It’s also quite obvious that Bryce did not have the same supporting cast that his predecessors had.

With all that being said, trusted minds in and around the league believe Bryce is by far the best Qb in his draft class. Steve Smith even had glowing reviews of Young and his processing, overall game.

Bryce Young imo is the generational Qb. He’s the best Qb prospect in his class, the last class, and the draft eligible class next season.

More often than not the issue with translating college success at QB into NFL success is mental rather than physical (some exceptions like The Golden Calf of Bristol who just never had an NFL arm). Young doesn't have those concerns, in fact he absolutely excels in that area and it's his biggest strength.

I was thinking about Young canceling his visits, and some people posted very reasonably that it could be that he hasn't heard anything from the Panthers and he has been told by the Texans that he's their pick.

So would you cancel your other visits on the day the Texans announce at press conference that their "listening" to offers for 2?   And if so, why now?  These visits have been on the books for months.  The Texans are just now notifying Young he is their pick, and the same day announce their listening to other offers?

But the betting markets certainly didn't see it that way.

What was interesting was Caserio said we'd know by Thursday if they were trading out of #2.

I don't think the concerns about Young's arm are zero. I think his arm is average at best at the NFL level. Watching him play he needs time to wind up and step into the throw to generate velocity or go deep.

I'm excited about his potential and if our staff is completely sold on him then I have confidence he'll translate but the physical concerns are real as hell.

    • Easily. To be able to plug in a backup LT without much drop off from your starter? That could mean the difference between playoffs or sitting at home in January. Good/serviceable smart young and healthy LTs that won’t lose you a ball game at reasonable $$ don’t just come along every day. Picture next year… the team is scrappy and competitive, 4 and 3 record, second place in the South. Morale is good. devastating run game that Let’s our marginal defense get plenty of rest. We play the Bucs and win, going to 5 and 3, but we lose Ickey to a high ankle sprain. Atl loses that week and are now at 5 and 3 as well. There is no Ickey and no BC because we let him go… and we go in to Atl the next week for a battle of first in the south. Week after that is the Jets…. Now they lose both by 10 and 3, respectively, and fall to 5 and 5 going in to their bye week. Atl is at 7 and 3. Out of typical Panthers desperation, they try to rush Ickey back in to the lineup with a saints game coming up…  Back to good old Panthers football, always playing catchup. Another season at .500 and the fans sadly rejoice in mediocrity, when playoffs were in reach. This team always overestimates its ability to pick up quality o line depth in the draft or FA and it always blows up in their faces. Like Chuba, I see him as being part of the core that Dan is trying to build. Work on his contract now and see if we can come out with something mutually beneficial. I’d consider 3 yrs at $25m to be very fair.
    • it would be great to have "double trouble" again, I even had a T- shirt for Williams and Stewart and the double trouble logo, was a great time to be Panthers fan. We shall see...
    • Sounds like a plan. Those are the teams we should be mimicking! lol
