He also said they weren’t planning on trading out of #1 and they have conviction on a guy. Sounds like they are pretty much decided barring some catastrophic turn of events.

Ah, similar to him saying literally all offseason that before he would trade up he would need to have “conviction on a guy”

The only thing he said that made me think it's Bryce is about putting on weight.  But if he is honest about him and Reich not discussing it yet, then the decision hasn't been made yet.  Honestly if they do draft him, they probably shouldn't fug with his weight too much and just let him play his way at his weight.

So you just clearly started following the team?

Fitterer has been on record “he’ll answer the phone” for any player on the roster.  But doesn’t mean he’s trading them.

It didn't seem like a hypothetical answer when asked about a nutrition plan for Bryce. I'd have to go back and watch again for the exact quote, but is was something to the effect of "we will", vs if we took him we would.

The answer about the pre-draft visits regarding Levis and Stroud coming today seemed like a politician trying to sound politically correct but it sure seems they have already made up their mind and have all but they have. Maybe meeting Stroud in person was a requisite for that but that's the impression I get.

Lastly the little smirk at the end they all showed on the last question when asked if anyone really impressed them on their personal visit and he answered with a WR he won't name, I think will be something Fitt,Cole and Morgan will high five and laugh about because he didn't take the bait and say Bryce.

To be fair, I'd expect that to be something that they would have discussed even if Young were just a possibility.

I know guys will see this as confirmation of Young being the pick, and he very well could be, but this doesn't really say anything definitive.

    • I want to throw in how much easier it is for a QB to develop and improve with a good oline.  Huge credit to the front office for spending the money on our two guards.  Cade Mays also had a 2nd really good game starting at center.  Love how he has developed and hope he's the real deal. Look at what Stroud is dealing with now in Houston after injuries and problems with their oline.  Strouds accuracy has been greatly affected as it seems like he doesn't trust his protection. Canales is doing a great job developing Bryce.  I think the QB whisperer might be for real. And obviously big props to Bryce.  First round pick that looks horrible in his first year.  Different coaches and systems.  Fans and media are calling him the biggest bust in NFL history and he looked like it in the first two games this year.  Gets benched.  Young man keep his cool and just continued to work and only worry about what he can control.  I hope things continue like this and we end up with a great success story. Bryce Young kept pounding.
    • Outside of Philly (who currently is #3 in pass defense) the rest of our remaining opponents are bottom 1/3 of the League in that regard.  Let's see what Bryce can do versus bad pass Ds.
