He had a good year but man that's gonna hamstring them building a team around him. So envious of the Chiefs not only having the best QB in the NFL by far but having him on an absolute steal of a contract for a decade. He's already down to being the 6th highest paid QB in the league and is signed through 2032... By the last 5 years of that deal he'll be making less than journeyman vets lol

 

Oh and btw, Bryce Young will be better than Hurts and 5x cheaper

I forget who said it, but I read not long ago that a lot of people were saying Jackson was "not the right guy" to be the focus of the fully guaranteed contract fight.

It was argued that someone like Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow would be a better quarterback to lead that charge.

True. Also, if he turns out to be a one year wonder or doesn't function the same without Shane Steichen calling the plays, this could be a disaster.
