Darnell Washington visiting the panthers

The more I think about Bryce Young being our QB, the more I like this guy as a trade up scenario. We can use him in multiple ways as a extra blocker or receiving threat in the redzone.

 

Getting the smallest QB in the draft and the biggest TE in the NFL would be great.

He needs to develop as a receiver and route runner but he is an incredible blocker.  Who on defense can cover him in the red zone?  Upside is ridiculous

Given his size and athleticism I think Washington could quickly develop into a force. I would consider him as early as the second round although I doubt we we value any tight end over edge rusher or CB.

i dunno. i think after drafting bryce protecting him/helping him has to be the number one priority over everything else. 

Just the way the nfl is these days.

Won't do that in the second round.  Guard isn't a highly valued position and you can find good guys throughout the draft. Free agents aren't that expensive either compared to tackle.

Freakish TE's are rare.  Washington has a very high ceiling.  If he is there in the 2nd, hes a panther.

Agreed. We can use him in multiple ways. Extremly big target for a small QB like Young. 

 

I got a feeling he will be one of the few trade up options if he's still on the board at the top of the 2nd.

Thomas Brown was Will Mallory’s coach his freshman year at Miami.  Keep an eye on that for later rounds.

la porta is a bit small. Go get this guy if he lingers past where he's projected. Somebody has to be above average size on the offense.
