exactly.

CJ Stroud is Kirk Cousins

Bryce Young could be Drew Brees

you take that chance

Dammit Juan, the more I think about it the more I'm coming around to this line of thinking. I think I've switched from Team Stroud to Team Young in the last week. Go big or go home! Yes, I realize the irony in that statement when talking about BY.

In a perfect world, Caleb Williams would be in this draft, but it's this draft. I'm higher on Young than the others, sure, but for me it's pretty simple: Young is the best of this draft based upon his collegiate career. Stroud is the purest passer, but has been highly inconsistent when the pressure comes, so much so that his play notably suffers. AR-15 is raw and the quintessential boom or bust player. Young's tape doesn't show the deficiencies of the other prospects.  I can't get upset if they decide to choose the guy with the best tape, and legitimately deserving of his Heisman trophy, simply because he plays at 190 pounds at 21 years old.  It's a controlled swing for the fences. I'm not going to get upset due to that.

Young was fantastic in College and has great tape no doubt. Some concerns about his size and potentially his arm. But some folks are not very worried about that, and it’s just different opinions. Would be extremely boring if everyone felt exactly the same way. The majority of the discussions have been really good and interesting. I think it has gotten a bit wild lately when people are saying his size is an actual advantage as if they wouldn’t like him to be bigger if that was an option.

Let's be honest. As next years draft gets closer people will begin poking holes in Caleb Williams draft stock too. This has happened every year. It's just part of the process. Bryce Young's tape shows both lots of good and some bad. The bad IMO whether me you or anyone else likes it or not is in part due to his size in one way or another. We are hoping the staff and scheme will help ease his transition and also that we will be able to keep him clean in the pocket against some truly mammoth sized human beings. Anyways I'm on board swinging for the fences I've said this all along. And I haven't been handcuffed to only one prospect through this process. I've looked at the positives and negatives for all of the top three. Taking a big swing is all I ask and that is what the decision makers are doing.

No one.  That's just how he works.  He regularly creates strawmen.  He's the one obsessed with size.

You are being disingenuous. There are people all across the draft process who are also sharing concerns. That does not mean they think he will instantly be injured but whether or not he will be able to sustain a decade plus long career. You don't have to like it but that's a legitimate question sir.

Size is a legit question which people can disagree on.  You regularly use hyperbole to promote your straw man arguments.  "Dived off a cliff",  "walk on water" are hyperbole straw man.   You do it a lot, dude, and when called out on it you downplay your exaggeration.

I'm the one using hyperbole? The loudest of the pro Young crowd have been comparing the kid to NFL NBA and martial arts legends to deflect from his size questions. Even had one guy crapping on Jake Delhomme and Cam Newton while hyping Young. That sounds like at a minimum borderline suggesting he can just about walk on water to me. I have been as realistic as possible regarding my expectations for all three of the top QB prospects. You don't like that. Well too bad.
