How often does the #1 pick come from bama?

Was it right guy in the right situation, right guy who could have been at any situation, or right situation that would have benefitted anyone?

Also, would Young have done as good or better than Stroud at OSU?

And would Stroud have done as well or better than Young at Bama?

Yes. All of the above. If you switch the 2 it would have ended about the same. It's a team game. Neither are head a shoulders above the other. Except for size of course.  Then someone comes up short.

This is where I'm at with the whole situation.

I prefer Stroud but man....BY, IMO, has more superstar potential. It's a matter of whether he can play 17+ games a year, and do it in December/January in cold weather, harsh environments.

Young could be a superstar though. He's an outlier, but at some point, someone of his stature will break the mold. It would be horrible in retrospect to have missed out on it....serious FOMO.

The 5'9" QB revolution will not be televised.

    • Some Huddlers call him average at best, but his trajectory has been going up.  Recognize the job this OL coaching crew did this year--they were not kissing footballs--they were improving young players--Zavala is probably a starting RG on another roster; Mays outplayed Corbett; and Ekwonu is in the top half of the league as a LT.
    • Possibly. With the rumors swirling about Moton it's easy to convince yourself that it's possible that OT is a LOT higher on our list of needs than would appear at a glance. The other distinct possibility is that we feel like Icky isn't putting in the work and we want to light a fire under his ass. If it's the latter, I would expect us to ultimately pick up his option but likely not be super aggressive to sign him to a huge extension. In which case, again OT would be a lot higher on our list than most would assume. The smoke is saying OT is a lot higher on our list than most of us think IMO.
    • Funny enough, that’s how they used Mykel some of the time at UGA (and how him numbers weren’t high) he slid inside - they had Walker and would use guys like Wilson II, Wilson, or Harris across from Walker at the edge on passing downs.
