More Smoke? Adam Schefter: CAR traded for Young, then checked other QBs. They did not bridge gap.

Is there a precedent for this? A team trades up to 1 for a QB and then trades out of it to recoup picks and let another team make the decision for them. I understand they inquired with Arizona and Seattle for their respective picks, so it indicates they may be comfortable with several of the Qbs in this class. 

IMO, it comes off as trying to get two dimes for a quarter.

To me stating we were ok with trading up to 3, but the price so similar to 1 so we just did 1 shows we are comfortable with several prospects.  Also the fact that we still haven't decided who we are drafting kind of shows the same thing.  If that is truly the case and the Texans really like one vs the other then it makes sense to me.  It's a lot of "ifs" though.

We made the trade to control the draft and pick who we want. It's not a good thing imo to say oh we're fine with whoever you don't take.
