Young did have a shoulder injury and that may have had an impact on his throws even after it healed.

Interesting. CJ had a shoulder injury in the beginning of 21' but seems like that's not an issue. Bryce sprained his throwing shoulder in Oct of 22'. I wonder if he'd thrown at the combine if he would have looked noticeably weaker

This is my take from watching him almost exactly. Guy almost always know where he is on the field and what he needs and makes instantaneous decisions that are generally exactly what his team needs. People act like him holding the ball is a negative but he also delivers the ball from the pocket quickly pretty regularly and I'd rather my QB have shown the ability to extend plays when its needed rather than need to develop that in the NFL. Guy also seemed to always turn it on when needed even when he was having a bad game, The only game in his career that wasn't at least within a score at the conclusion was that National Title game where I'd argue he made the passes he needed to, just didn't go their way. I've seen him make up plenty of deficits and deliver countless times in the fourth quarter, he doesnt ever seem phased.

There is just something special about this guy and you can really feel it the more games you watch from him. He's going to be great. I'm sure there will be plenty of growing pains his rookie year as he has to learn how to take less chances and figure out what he can get away with in the NFL, but I'm confident he'll figure it out. He may not have the beautiful arm CJ has but he's going to be able to deliver the ball where it needs to go, and he's going to be able to do that in pressure scenarios consistently.

Both these guys had great teams around them, two of the best teams in the Nation, and they are both Great QBs. I just think Bryce has the qualities that can elevate him to an elite QB status that I dont see with CJ, who I think is going to be good to very good in the NFL.

The more of Young I watch, the more I see why he was the consensus No. 1 overall pick all year.  Felt like Stroud only got into the discussion because of size.

I like Stroud though.  I think he's going to be a solid QB with the potential to be great.  But something is special about Young.  He just gives me the vibes of a QB who, with the game on the line, can create special opportunities for your team that not many other QBs can.

I think a weird way to put it is I prefer Stroud, but am scared of passing on Young if that even makes sense….

Makes sense to me. I'm fine with either based on the positives of their tape. Of course it goes both ways though. Some folks who are wanting to drag Stroud really need him to be mediocre at best. If he balls out the comparisons will follow these guys that's just how it goes.

This is an awful comparison and rules out the well known fact that this game is a team sport.

Georgia beat Stroud and Young, with a QB who doesn't even hold a candle to the two.

Stetson Bennett played in a system built perfectly around him. No gaps. No holes. 

You can't use this comparison for that reason alone.
