Bears close to trading to 2, then to 9 with Carolina moving up to 2: Houston felt comfortable staying at 2 because they are confident Carolina doesn’t take their guy.

Nightmare mode: Panthers might really want Richardson/Levis

That is a possibility and this place would lose its mind if that happened.

I don't think the Texans would settle for Richardson or Levis if that had a chance to take either Stroud or Young.

Maybe not, but it's not like the Texans have been a great franchise. Same goes for the Panthers. Bad teams make bad decisions.

Or they may be content with Stroud or Young.

Could be. They're in prime position to take one of the top two QBs and keep all their picks.

I'm glad the Texans are convinced we don't take Young when Young is now the betting favorite to go #1... I still think we can get a 2nd rounder from the Texans to go back to #2 if we like both QBs about the same

Young isnt the betting favorite everywhere. It just depends where you look.

I actually think the Panthers played their hand well with the Stroud stuff. They didn’t want Houston to think they were coming up to 1 for Young. Especially since the deal took a while to come together. So out of fear of Houston moving to 1 and Chicago trying to trade back twice, Carolina convinced everyone Stroud was who they wanted

Like I said, CJ Stroud was the real smokescreen. The Panthers played it well and were able to move up to 1 for Bryce

Ok. My point is that it went from like Young +225 -> Young -110 to -130, which means that sportsbooks are starting to think that it is a coinflip to Young being slightly favored to go #1

Young is -200 now

There is no coin flip. The move was always for Young. Stroud was a smokescreen
