Bryce Young has the highest S2 Score of anyone in this year's class apparently

He is obviously a step above Baker or Sam upstairs, on and off the field. I'm not worried about any small things people nitpick about his Ohio tape. McCown and Reich obviously love him and it's literally their job to take him to the next level. If Bryce is so pro ready send him to the Texans that have a Defensive HC

“I do have a feeling that a quarterback from Alabama that we have tested every year since he was in 10th grade may end up sharing his results publicly because he actually owns those results and the NFL does not,” Ally said.

Dudes been practice testing for years

So he'll tout this test publicly but can't participate in the combine with the rest of the quarterbacks? Kinda weak. Even Brock Purdy who is talked up in the source material for the article mentioned did his thing at the combine.

If AR interviewed well and scored well on the S2 I'd struggle to restrain myself from writing his name on the card. His entire draft evaluation comes down to things that we have minimal to no insight into.

that original thread talking about the S2 did say that there were several in this class that scored really well on it and that they were way ahead of last year's class. Seeing what i did Mooch and AR on the whiteboard and AR's ability to recollect things and other things that i've heard about AR in his interviews, it would be easy to believe that AR would be one of the high scorers.

I'm as intrigued by AR as I have been by any QB prospect since Cam. If he has what it takes between the ears he could be a significantly more athletic Josh Allen. But he could also be Akili Smith. 😂

i'm expecting one of Stroud/Young/AR to the pick and i'm so excited to hear any of these guys. AR is my third favorite among them, but i would not hate it at all for him to be the pick. if this coaching staff is sure that they can make him reach his potential, then giddyup. he could easily go bad, but i trust this staff to make the right call and do what it takes to make it the right call.

My only real hangup on him is his poor accuracy. He just doesn’t put the ball in good locations for his receivers and that’s a difficult skill to acquire after a QB is already in the NFL.  I’m sure with practice he could rein in the wild throws he’s prone to a bit, but I don’t think he’ll ever be a ball placement specialist and likely won’t ever be above average at throwing catchable balls in stride where only his receiver can make a play on it.  That’s way more important to me than running ability. Cam’s running ability was just icing on the cake, it was his deep balls and ability to make throws like that matrix throw TD to Dickson against Atlanta, while still being most consistent on other passes that allowed him to be successful.  His biggest knock as a thrower was an occasional high pass, but they weren’t much more common than the other great QBs.

Agreed. Richardson's accuracy goes to crap at random, and it's not just because his footwork sucks like Allen's did. He just misses throws sometimes. That's an almost innate trait. Compare the accuracy next to Stroud who puts it on the money damn near every time and the athleticism doesn't make up for it.

I'd still take Richardson over Levis, but still after both Stroud and Young. Some place like Seattle, or Detroit would be the perfect landing spot for Richardson.

I thought AR did kind of poorly in that clip. Watch it again, he misses the more nuanced stuff.

He better be like Doogie Howser, MD at his size.

Another situation where you take Stroud if he is nearly equal.

I firmly believe in intelligence at the QB position.  A smart QB not only makes good on-field decisions, but they allow the coaches to open up the playbook earlier and more often.

Arm strength?  Great.  40 time?  Awesome.  But what the great QBs have is something that is immeasurable--which is why it is so difficult to find one.  Perhaps until now--Burrow, Mahomes, Brees, Allen, and even Mr. Irrelevant?  That is pretty strong evidence that this test measures the right stuff.

With Bryce Young we seem to have a super QB prospect that checks all the boxes except size--gonna be hard to pass on him.  I think he is a great person, someone who everyone likes--can rally around.  I dunno, folks, but Stroud has the OSU curse--I am so confused--but I can assure you--Young isn't.  I will be happy with either, but I am starting to see more comparisons with the greats--
