Can’t wait to get swept by New York. I’m sure they’ll use the injury to Svech as an excuse as if it would have really mattered. We can go into next year, dominate until March. Scoring goes dry and goalies crumble and lose in the 2nd round again. We like our team.

This team just can NOT score the puck when it matters. Necas? Lost in the sauce...Aho? Finessing his way to nowhere, Staal? Old and slow...pool party? Couldn't handle the puck if it had a steering wheel...its sad really.

With or without Svech, this team looks exactly the same as last year and the year before down the stretch. Scoring is hovering around 2 gpg. PP is nonexistent. Multiple odd man rushes. Goalies crumble. Is it time to ask the tough questions? Svech wasn’t saving this team - let’s be real here. Rod needs to be banging his fists against the table in the off-season. I’m a causal and can see exactly what this team needs to take the next step. Is Dundon content with sustained playoff births (playoff attendance $$$)? As opposed to doing the obvious and necessary off-season and TDL maneuvering to set your team up for a legitimate run?

I’ve seen this party for the last 3 years. The last time the canes actually had momentum was 2019 and they made it to the EC finals. I have a bad feeling with are going to lose out and end up 3rd. Lost home ice.  And swept in the playoffs.
