Every time I watch these breakdowns about picking apart defenses and the “if then” decision making process that is required, I’m reminded that I know so little about football and my opinions about football should be judged accordingly lol.

I've been studying the to improve my QB play in Madden lol

I absolutely forgot how many Ohio State QB's were absolutely ballers in College but absolute busts in the NFL. RIP Dwayne Haskins. Forgot about that young man. Stroud is definitely the best of the all of them. His touch, placement, ability to feel pressure, and throwing people open is hard to teach much less master. Incredible that he has room to grow. If he gets the pre-snap and Post-snap part of the game like Bryce or better he's gonna be amazing.

Like I mentioned the other day. Fields and Stroud are the only two pros/prospects that played for Day at Ohio State. Stroud the only one recruited by him. There's no real relevance to anything before Coach Day.

Well, if we draft CJ expect the following in Madden for our QB. You won't be able to do any audibles, you can't slide protect, won't be a able to ID the mic, the double team won't work,...

But with Bryce you get an extra 3 audibles, x factor precognition (the play slows down for 3 sec, letting you rip apart the defense with timing using the playmaker), you know about escape artist right, Young has his own called take flight/take off..."wright" on my "brother"...

I say all that to say, show me one clip of CJ making adjustments. Big difference after halftime for CJ in that UGA game. Or he did adjust, started running for his life... 😂

Oh yeah Young gets Brady's pro read along with hot route master.

Haven't played Madden in 20 years, so I have no idea what you're talking about or do I care.  BTW Madden isn't real

I honestly and sincerely trust our coaching staff to make the forest decision. I can’t recall the last time I was able to say that

Honestly, this. It's why I'm not twisting myself up in these Young vs. Stroud, but maybe Richardson round and round arguments. Whoever these guys end up picking, let's go.

Oh wow. Saw a couple clips of him turning his head in there. Unfortunately saw more staredowns tho. Processing, timing, progressions, all coachable. He’s got superior ball placement, doesn’t need more air under his throws like this video suggests

Had a son last year, have watched the least amount of football of my life over the past 24 months.  When I heard we traded up, I thought for sure it was for Young.

Then I watched CJ's games.  He makes "tough" throws look easy.  Footwork looks clean and on time.  Can fit the ball into any window.  Ideal size and arm strength.  Was just too much to overlook, college campus be damned.

Either way, I'm down, there is some excitement with the Panthers for the first time in half a decade.

I wanted Stroud at first before the trade up I felt we might be able to figure something out to get him. Then right after the combine we trade up and I felt it was based on his combine performance. Then more time passed, his pro day and Bryce's came. I rewatched film on both and their combine/pro days. I see way more potential from BY. I tried to deny it and look at more Stroud tape and see beyond his lack of mobility and lack of adequate competition but BY is the better option hands down. I love how easy Stroud makes certain passes look but man does BY always look comfortable and brings the same dynamics that Mahomes does in just making the play work no matter the situation. The comp for Stroud being Burrow might sell some on him being the pick but honestly Burrow cant even win the big game with the immense offensive talent around him. Mahomes and his style of play ensures there will always be a chance and he really proved it this year, while injured!

I grade this paper a D
