I still want a TE at 39. This TE class is way better than the WR class anyway

Pro scouts are saying this years 2023 TE NFL Draft Class is the best this year since 2019 and as many as 5 picks could go in the first 2 rds..

Ricci, sullivan, and even tremble/thomas are not good enough to pass up TE.

Honestly neither is hurst.

If you count Ricci in then we have 5 TE currently on the roster. No saying we won't draft a TE but is a " luxury" pick for now.

Hurst signed 3 yrs contract

Thomas just restructure contract

Tremble on rookie contract

But of cause go for Michael Meyer if he still there at #39 (but I doubt it)

I'd love a TE but if we choose Stroud and can get JSN even if we need to trade up a bit from 39 I would do it. Gives us a potential #1 WR and Stroud already has a guy he's comfortable with and has chemistry with. If we go Young I wouldn't force that issue

PSA

I will be pooing every single baby chark doo doo doo post i see.  bunch of MFers thinking they are so origional and clever. i encourage yall to do the same

with all that said, im fugin stoked

THATS THE PICK ME UP I NEEDED BITCH

side note: I have Chark in all of my dynasty fantasy leagues.  always believed in him.  either injury or being stuck in the jags with shitty QB play and coaching have held him back. he has the opportunity of a lifetime here being our #1 with a damn good OL, supporting cast, coaching, scheme, and QB.

hes about to go the fug off on that prove it deal

PSA I had to poo you due to your lack of sense of humour.

American sports fans need more chants than "Let's go Defence" and "Keep Pounding".

Sure, there is some validity to that. However, not once during Rhule's tenure did I feel any optimism whatsoever during the offseason. All these moves don't necessarily translate to wins when it matters, but that being said, the fact they are doing a complete overhaul like this shows they aren't ok with the mediocrity (at best) that has been put on display the last few years which has been one of my biggest pain points.

They see the issues we all see and are doing everything they can to address them in one year.

... and that puts us 6 years ahead of Jay Z's timeline.

Definitely agree with this. It's nice to actually have hope again

Meyer is all over after the early talk of him being top 10, but thats old. There is around 15% chance I think of him being there, since a couple of TEs passed him and league doesnt invest early draft capital on TE.

Most of the TEs could be cut after the season and sullivan or ricci could end up on the PS. Tremble needs to level up now or he could be cut as well.

Its around the "luxury" area, I do know frank loves 2 TE sets or 12 group.

Edge should be strong at the 39 spot and Id for sure bypass TE for one of them...

I don't think people really understand how good this man could be here lol. If he stays healthy

I vividly remember when he came 2 Charlotte with the Jags and Minshew.

My eyes were already on him as he's been on my radar since the senior bowl (where he was basically uncoverable).

Anyway noone in our secondary could stop this man.. not LB Chinn, not Ross Cockrell, Boston or Bradberry. Iirc he had like 3 Tds that game.

Also: I have a strong feeling that TMJ is going to break out. Reminds me of how I felt about Brown last offseason. And that was before and not counting the new position coaches + offensive OC + whoever #1 QB is + the guidance from Adam & Chark. That might also cut into his target share. Just depends on how Reich & Brown plan on using him.

    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
