So Fitt picked Teddy, Darnold, Corral, and Baker and you are siding with him and Tepp (the man who hired Rhule) over Reich (great offensive coach and former QB) and our QB coach??

I believe Rhule made these decisions. Rhule hired FITT & it was reported that he had final say.

I’m comfortable with FITT.

I think most agree that he is better. The problem is how long will his body frame last in the NFL?

Tua is bigger than him and you see how they toss him around. If someone gets a good hit on Bryce it could be scary.

Curious how many Bryce guys thought Corral was too small at 6'2" 212

Fitt didn't pick Teddy,  that was Hurney 2.0. He did go get Darnold and Baker at Rhules request. Baker was worth it for a 5th. Darnold cost more because Rhule had already played his hand with T2G and we were desperate. Corral just went to show Rhule had no interest in actually developing a QB.

“GMs pick players & coaches coach them. That’s the way it is in most organizations from NFL, to NBA etc”

According to you

When u hear FITT say “he held court”. It implies, Bryce is the leader for Carolina & today’s dinner/pro day did nothing to change that.

Bro he's talking abt at a dinner table lol

I’m a Stroud guy (I think) but I like the mentals of Young better. But the physicals of CJ. I wish they were one dude lol.

When I heard that Reich had been a preacher for a bit after playing football that got me thinking about Rhule and just ugh. Then I heard CJ going out of his way to talk about God and then Reich talking about how the 2 of them talked about faith etc.

all of that is completely harmless and perfectly normal…or it’s not. I don’t know. But then I hear Bryce talk and I’m thinking I’d rather have this guy…but he’s tiny and gonna get killed.

I just hope that the decision is made for the right reasons and not for anything outside of football. Neither are bad guys off the field so that’sa non issue.

 Maybe I’m going crazy. Idk

I get where you’re coming from

So if Young is on a different level compared to Stroud mentally.

What would you consider Stroud's level compared to Young's in size?

Stroud is great mentally but you say Young is on a different level.

Young is the furthest thing from having great size, Stroud's comparison there would be like comparing Brady's career to Ryan Leaf or Jamarcus Russell's

There is abt 20 pounds difference between them right now…not that different in my eyes.

I say size wise ur comparison would have made sense if u compared Young at 195 pounds to AR at 244pounds.

but again, size is not my concern. If it is urs, I respect that & understand but just not mine…

The poster literally just posted GMs pick players as a reason for Fitt to make the pick. Regardless it seems odd to hire a former QB offensive minded HC, tell him he will have a “CEO” type of position and not let him pick his QB. I’m not convinced Stroud is Reich’s guy, but I imagine his opinion should carry the most weight.

I get what you're saying now. Sometimes reading it doesn't make it come across the same way as it was meant.

I just hope he isn’t projecting Seattle Russ onto Young and that being why he likes him so much

That’s exactly what he’s doing, and if I’m not mistaken, he had little to do with that. In fact he has basically zero experience. And Rhule hired him. Tep clung on. Hmmm seems familiar. God help us if Fit has really any say in this. He needs to let the qualified football people decide. And I don’t mean Reich. Reich is the kind of guy that thinks faith similar to his, and the ‘amount’ of it is some sort of factor.

    • The other draft picks have turned out pretty well. Brooks will too.
    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
