Burrow reminds me of Cam more personality wise than anyone else currently in the league. Confident, doesn't mind talking a little crap, has some flare, but still remains likable IMO.

And honestly I just disagree. Teammates often feed off of that confidence. The media and half the fanbase always tried to trash Cam but I don't think I've heard a negative word about him from a teammate yet.

Being a cocky douche isn't the reason for Burrow's success at all lol. He could easily not be a douche and be just as good and even more well respected by teammates. If Stroud can play like Burrow on the field and not be a douche then we've struck gold (assuming he's the pick which we have no idea still).

I honestly don't see Burrow as acting like a dick. This just feels like how opposing fans viewed Cam. Oh god, the guy is young and confident and has fun. What a fuging travesty.

Fair or not people with big personalities like Cam/OBJ get labled as team cancers despite them being great teammates. People on this board calls OBJ a team cancer when half the league is recruiting him to join their team.

 

The best QB in the league Pat Mahomes is actively recruiting OBJ aka the team cancer...

 

We gotta stop calling these dudes locker room killers. A team cancer is Antonio Brown a dude who talks bad about his teammates behind their backs. He walks off the field and quit on his team. That is a team cancer.

Cocky is good and probably needed as an elite player. A hole not so much. That was Geno Smith coming out of West Virginia. Jets players barest wanted to play with him. He ended up growing.
