they all seemed to struggle to go through their progressions and make a timely, accurate throw.  We know we have a QB who can do that in Young.  Do we in Stroud?  I would say there is a strong chance he can do it, just to a slightly lesser degree (or he was never asked to do it as Young was).

The more I review film the more I see this differently.  It seems like Stroud is the one processing information really quickly and getting the ball to his playmakers while Young misses alot of initial passes and is forced to dance around and make something happen after that.  I am actually alarmed at how much he does it.

I want Stroud or Levis. I went back and watched some Kentucky games. That guy, with good receivers and tight ends, will be a problem. He had a super young team around him last year and his best receiver was a true freshman, which, at Kentucky isn't the same as Ohio State or Alabama.

I think Levis in Ohio State or at Alabama probably would've been more prolific than both Young and Stroud. I was on the hate Levis train for a while but man, that Arm, his ability to look off safeties while running a pro style offense, with Reich would be something to watch. He reminds me a bit of Phillip Rivers.

If Richardson had run a 4.6 40 instead of a 4.4, he'd be a second round pick.

Personally, if we could get the Colts or Texans to trade up and we take Levis, I'd be cool with it.

Not that either are my favorite, but Stroud has a tendency to stick with his first read until they come open, and most of the time they do.

If we're talking hardly any talent on the offense, I'd argue Russell Wilson. Also unwashed Drew Brees, who gave our franchise nightmares for about 10 years even without top talent.

Wilson had crazy talent at their peak.  Beastmode paired with a historic defense?

2012 - #3 rush attack

2013 - #4

2014 - #1

Young's size is concerning but with how QBs are protected today I don't really think it matters as much as it would've in years past. If this was the 00s? Yeah, sub 200 pound qb is probably off of my draft board entirely. 2023? With the roughing calls they give out now? I dunno. Injuries a lot of the time really are just bad luck. Cam's shoulder injury that basically ended his career in the long run happened on a play that should've been whistled dead. Even if Young gets hurt, who knows if him being 20 lbs heavier would've prevented it?

It's certainly worrying but it's not like he missed that many games in college taking hits from SEC linemen. Different game than NFL linemen, sure, but still encouraging. Bryce just needs to be sure to protect himself from hits at the next level whenever possible and I think he'll be fine with how much they handhold QBs these days.

To echo a sentiment posted earlier, I'm glad I'm not the one making this decision lol.

This is a lot of what I've been seeing. CJ it seems always has his poo together and always in control of the situation. The game is slow for him it seems. Bryce reacts and moves quickly because he has to, or at least because he feels he has to and it might be that if he saw the field better he wouldn't have to scramble so much...I don't know.

Bryce takes advantage of the world collapsing around him and can do remarkable things when it does, but CJ won't let it collapse around him or at least won't let it dictate what he's doing. It will influence him, for sure, but he won't let it control him and force him to give up on the play.

Bryce does well when things break down, CJ doesn't let things break down.
