Are the Panthers unsure of who their #1 is or is it just a smokescreen…

Stroud covers every criteria for a #1 overall QB. He has 0 questions... nothing over durability, nothing over height, nothing over mechanics, nothing over character. Everyone else has AT LEAST 1 question, whether it be height or proper mechanics, etc.

If it's not Stroud, we're wrong.

It scares me too, but I am not very good at evaluating QBs as they transition to the NFL...I am horrible at it.

In terms of potential success, I feel very strongly that Levis would perform so poorly that he'd get booed off the field by October, a la David Carr in 2007. Levis has the worst decision-making of the four, the lowest ceiling of the four, the highest bust rate of the four and his biggest plus -- arm strength -- is, at best, second of the four.

I have some doubts on the most important thing…his ability to quickly process the field. I’ve seen evidence he can do it at a high level, but it’s not as obvious as Young.

Bucs just signed Baker.   I have been so bad at it....I see your point and those were my first thoughts.

Someone has to be blamed!!! Kidding.  I appreciate the catch--Ian could be in the know and the Panthers may know something we all have missed.

I appreciating you tolerating me throwing you under the bus, twice. Just having some fun with posters I feel that I can trust.

I honestly think he meant to say Dalton as the were talking FA'S.  They were going over our signings and said and I quote " they will benefit the Panthers new qb Will Levis". They guys were caught of guard as I was and yelled out "well done Ian!" and he quickly changed it to "whoever the qb is" while the other guys laughed at him. I'm assuming it was just a slip up.

  • Attitude/leadership came up during the combine

I will concede the others could be concerning but he was all business at the combine and blew people away with how serious he was and how mature he was in his interviews.  Furthermore I think that is his leadership style is to lead by example and be the first one in last one out type of dude.  Pretty sure I read all his teammates love him

Will Levis:

  • Can't throw accurately
  • Can't handle pressure
  • Couldn't beat good teams
  • Slow to read the defense
  • Makes poor decisions with the ball

    • They gave him franchise QB money. Sorry but if you don't earn it you can be embarrassed.   He's rich he can take it. Stop feeling sorry for people who can't live up to their contract. This isn't a sport to be soft. Daniels deserves to give back some of that money he stole if you ask me.
    • And it was coming off of a bye week. Perhaps he should vacation a bit in Germany in the off season, something certainly seemed to help him there.  No, really... He showed maturation and the possibility that he's turning a corner. That wasn't the NY Giants out there, but the back to back Super Bowl champions with the #3 defense in the league, with them coming off of a prime time loss. And that was a 9-1 team we just played literally down to the last second. Bryce played so well that maybe, maybe he wins over some nay-sayers. It's still early, though, but what a nice breath of fresh air that was. You can win quite a few games if that is your normal performance. It is obvious that we are still on the learning curve, though. But that was one helluva test he just took. Some of these QBs coming out of college just don't have a lot of games under their belts, especially in top end programs. They are perhaps just a year to two years behind center in games that matter before they move up. It can take them some time to hit their stride. We can still be cautious about our future and still celebrate a great game by the kid, though, and we should. He earned the laurels today, or had before they were snatched away at the last second.
