By the time this offseason is over I don’t think we’re going to have as much cap space in 2024 as a lot of you think we will

Assuming a Burns extension gets done. They’ll probably take a big hit next year. Von and Shy are 20 mill against our cap. A lot of these contracts are being structured this way due to all the dead money/lack of space this year.

Shaq’s contract hasn’t been posted yet either and I’m sure they just pushed most of it over to next year

Guys like Donte and Ian can be cut though so save a nice chunk

People who study this closely have said we are in very good shape the next 2 years cap wise

And where do you think the money is coming from this year to sign these guys?

Dalton has a void year in 2025 that counts for 3 mill against our cap already

Some of our fans are really tossing out some unreal expectations.

A winning record this year would be an INCREDIBLE accomplishment.  INCREDIBLE.  Forget division titles.  Forget playoffs.  Just win more games than we lose.  It's more likely we end up winning 7 games.  Our offense and defense were bottom half of the league in the only stat that matters:  scoring.  Rookie QB.  New staff.   Completely new defensive system requiring different personnel.  Come on.  What we should be looking for in 2023 is a team that fights hard and improves over the season.

In 2024, we should expect a winning team barring some sort of injury crisis or our rookie QB turns into Jamarcus Russell.  We should be competing in the division.  Playoffs as a wildcard at least.

Fitterer and ultimately Tepper have given him all the resources to succeed

- All world coaching staff where Tepper could flex that wallet with no salary cap constraints

-Top 10 young defense

-Continuity solid o line with franchise LT

-very good cap space in 2024

-#1 overall pick to draft HIS QB

this team is in way better position than any division rival and if he played his cards right he can flash onto the scene in a Brian Daboll’esque way

he shouldn't be expected to succeed in 2023.  I mean look at our QB/RB/WR/TE talent going into 2023.  It's an offensive league and we are on the literal ground floor of building an offense.

this year it's playoffs and win the division.

next year it's a deep playoff run, maybe NFCCG.

by year three, especially with him drafting his QB this year, Superbowl in year three. If he doesn't win one in year 4 it probably won't happen. If a coach/QB combo is going to win a Superbowl together, it's likely going to happen within the first 3 maybe 4 years or not at all.

5 years is the stat. HC/QB combos have to win the SB in 5 years or they never do.

Example. Cam and Ron went to the SB in their 5th year together.

    • Richard Sherman got dog piled for basically saying he didn't stand out as a WR prospect but looked elite as a CB prospect. A few months ago you could find other players commenting on his limited route tree and raw route running but the search algorithms are flooded with love affair right now. The guy is the best CB prospect in years and he'll contribute on offense too. That is the absolute opposite of a knock on the guy. It's just the people buying into him being a full time two way player in the NFL like he was at Colorado who gets their panties in a wad over just stating the simple reality that he ain't gonna be a full time two way player at the NFL level with 17 games seasons and no Travis Hunter fan should want that either if you want the guy to make it to a second contract.
    • You do know you have to be invited to College GameDay? They called him out there and asked him about it and he answered it. And do you think he would have this type of interactions with a coach he doesn't have that type of relationship with? You're reaching to the furthest extent lol. I've seen a video of Hunter literally getting cursed out by Shedeur by not catching a BAD pass from Sanders and he didn't say anything just went out and caught a TD pass the next play! A "diva" would've got into a shouting match with his QB
    • WHAT?!?!?!?! Honestly for the life of me, I can't figure out what you're saying here.  How are you saying their supporting casts cancel each other out and Hunter STILL had the better season? The supporting cast is LITERALLY the reason that he had the better season statistically.  If you put T-Mac on Colorado in place of Hunter, I'm 100% convinced he'd have had better stats than Hunter did, as he already had almost the same number of catches, and more yards, with a significantly worse QB and with zero other offensive weapons to take any attention away from him like Hunter had. If you think Hunter having 7 more TDs is more because of Hunter vs T-Mac and not because Hunter's QB had literally DOUBLE the number of TD's this year than T-Mac's QB, then I have some Arizona oceanfront property to sell you.
