This is actually a pretty good signing. Heinicke got double what we just gave Dalton and I think is a much better backup. As Joe Person says, he knows his role.

This signing does not preclude the Panthers from picking up a vet WR or TE and the bridge QB signing is vitally important. If you haven't heard, the only two WRs that have signed so far are Allen Lazard and Jakobi Meyers. I don't think any TEs except the Saints guy signed? And we're most likely taking a WR or TE at 39.

Yore right it was mainly dreaming. 

Thought they could land a clark for around 7per on a long contract so the first year was low 3. 

Sign one out of the top 5 TE group, same 6 year contract trick and get the first year around 3 million.

This is good.  Someone that knows he's the backup to a rookie to mentor and help him.  We don't need QB controversy while the rookie gets experience.

Yep, I know it’s a reach but I couldn’t help but check out and see if there was a size similarity there too.

When we have such little cap I don’t like it. The Bears wasted an off-season of Fields by declaring Dalton QB1 and taking reps away from him. Dalton shouldn’t take a single rep from Stroud.
