I just don't understand what our actual plan is besides drafting a qb.  If you make the call to give up DJ Moore then you need to have a plan to replace him and I just don't see it.

Sometimes the answer is already on the roster...

I get the DJ moore issue. What else is unpleasant? A couple value signing and couple of need being filled.

The best group of coaches ever at once.

dont be a weirdo..

Sorry if I'm not meta enough for you, and it's not just the DJ Moore issue.  We traded a lot of assets away, and now we can't adequately fill our needs with our remaining assets.  We went from being a qb away, to a 3 year rebuild this offseason.

Also we're taking a defense that wasn't far off and we're changing base schemes with no legit 0 tech.

I tend to agree, but the thought process was literally we will give up anything to get a franchise QB.  DJ Moore unfortunately was collateral damage, so be it if we get a franchise signal caller for the next decade plus.  I love DJ Moore but i'm also not gonna pretend he was Justin Jefferson...But yes you would think with the mediocre cap space we have that it would behoove this staff to prioritize WRs, TEs, and RBs, instead we are signing S (im a fan of Von Bell) and a NT we didnt need until switching schemes.

We usually have playmakers and no offensive line/QB, i guess this year we will have the QB and Oline but nobody to get it in the endzone consistently, quite the change.  I don't expect all the holes to get filled in one offseason, and the WRs i coveted haven't been signed yet, but it seems like they are doing everything but what needs to be done to improve the offense which was the worst part of our team again last year.

The answer is literally NOT on the roster.  I'm fine with TMJ being our WR2 and having a big roll, but he's not a WR1, i think we have seen enough to concede that.  Shi Smith sucks, and Ian Thomas sucks.  The RB room is laughable.  So tell me whose on the roster that your speaking of?  Is Laviska your savior?

Youre fine, I was just curious and trying to help.

I agree with you, just after 5 years of trying _____ to fill the QB leader role, they pushed all-in for a top rookie QB.

I think they added one too many 2nds and for me DJ moore is worth more than a 1st.

They have big needs/wants/issues at WR, RB, and TE.

Deal is, no game are being played and give them time to show how this plays out. Draft, trades, claims, june cuts and new system/play callers. Who knows, shi smith, TMJ, and Shenault *can* get lots better. All three are young and in the magic 3rd year where many WR put it together. Plus new coaches, whom are either battle proven or red hot young mind. Look at the good with the bad.

Paris is also not a difference maker, even for a mid tier salary. Id be more willing to over pay a bit for DJ Chark bc when he came back, Detroit's offense was humming. Amon was open more often, and the running game improved.

Also DJ had some impact in Jacksonville too.

Also we add a guy named DJ and hope casual fans do not notice that we traded the DJ to the Bears. Win-win

If our coaches are as good as advertised then they should be able to scheme Shi, Shenault, and TMJ open. They aren’t polished WR but they have the athleticism to succeed.

I certainly hope your right and don't get me wrong I'll be very happy to land CJ Stroud. I just want the QB to succeed and I don't think you can find an adequate wr replacement in the 2nd round of a weak wr draft.  We may be able to find a decent TE. I would love a Mike Gesicki signing so we could split the production left by the absence of Moore.

on a cheap, prove it deal, yes

has a ton of speed and talent. just horrible luck with injuries.

Yeah, I mean if he is dirt cheap I don't really care.

Definitely wouldn't make my list of WR's I would want to sign but I wouldn't pitch a fit unless we really over commit.

    • I think it will be hard to not go edge in the second if we go QB first. Say you have Starks, one of Bond/Egbuka, and maybe one Edge (don't have a name to throw out that is end of 1st round projected and may slide)... do you still go Starks? Just curious. I haven't looked into starks much, as I've been focused on QB, WR, and DL prospects.
