Thing is teams that have WRs worth trading for like Denver and AZ are looking for Capitol/have their ILB & S pretty wrapped up.

You have to find someone willing to take a one year contract for a player with no real position.

Oh, he has a real position alright. His position is as a cover 3 SS.

I had previously sort of wondered if Chinn might be a potential trade piece. I can't recall the new staff really saying much at all about him. Then you see Von Bell signed who plays a similar style to Chinn... honestly, I hack EXPECT Chinn to be traded at this point

I think someone is getting traded. Losing DJ changed everything about what happened after they get their qb. They will either need more draft picks by trading someone or they will have to do a player for player trade or combinationofthe two. They do not have the cash for the top guys in FA without making more cash available somehow.

Losing DJ plus targeting D in FA. Chinn seems like a potentially valuable trade asset and we've made a move that makes him expendable.

I don't like the thought of trading him but if he doesn't fit the scheme...

I didn't say it would be easy. I also didn't say it would necessarily be Chinn.

Oh I'm absolutely for trading for one of the WRs rumored on the market -- Jeudy, Sutton or Hopkins would make me content at #1 for at least the next two years.

I just think it'll take more picks.

If it gets us a stud wr I will not complain.  Drafts are full of tweeners on the defensive side of the ball.

It probably will take more picks if it's Chinn they are looking to trade.

I doubt it would get us a "stud". A Tyler Boyd level guy would probably be about the best we could do. But that's also a lot better than we currently have, so...

Fitterer will have to do something in FA. He cannot hope to fix this in the draft alone. Not in one offseason anyway.

Yeah, we cannot give up all we did to get a QB at #1 overall and then put these offensive skill position players around him. That would be criminal.

    • From what I am seeing these are the locks for teams drafting in the top 10: 1. Ten - Cam Ward  2. Cle - Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter (it will be one of the two, so this close enough to a "lock") 4. NE - Will Campbell (it has been leaked that people in the building are claiming him as "our guy") 5. Jac - Mason Graham 7. Jets - Armand Membou (they want Graham, but he won't be there. Next guy on the board is Membou)   The real wild cards are the Giants and the Raiders. No one seems to know exactly what they want to do. I think if Hunter is there for NY they take him, but Carter is not a "need" for them, and they might entertain trades down, but anyone that wants to jump up to 3 would want a QB and that might be too rich for the return for most teams. Would someone trade up for Carter or Hunter? Maybe. But it would need to be a team on the verge of winning a championship to make that move seem logical. The Raiders could go any direction. They need help on both sides of the ball. They won't go QB because of the trade for Geno. With Pete Carroll at the helm, the logical thought is defensive back. Could Starks or Emmanwori go this high? Does Carroll like Will Johnson enough to pick him? Is Jeanty their guy? I think the Panthers spot at 8 has become very attractive. It isn't top 5, so it won't cost as much to trade up into it, and it is right above the Saints, who could be in the QB market, and the Bears, which have been heavily linked to Jeanty. I think if Jeanty is on the board at 8, Jerry Jones won't be able to help himself and will call us. Morgan will likely take the trade, add picks, and still get one of his top guys.
    • All I know is the track record of 1st round rookie Wr getting less than 500 yards in year 1 is very bleak. And mad because Bryce looks bad? I'm mad if a player in a panther jersey drops the ball. Don't get that argument...
    • Will say, I was watching clips and J Stewart was a nightmare for potential 1st round OT Ersery w/Minnesota.  Took care of that kid when they played.
