Well the defense is certainly coming along nicely. What are we leaving for offense? Kinda got some holes to fill.

This is a big signing for our secondary, but an even bigger signing for the long-term development of Chinn. He's way too athletic and has a great frame to play closer in, like other posters have alluded to.

 

Great pickup from a leadership perspective as well. Man, it feels weird to be this optimistic...

I doubt it. He's done next to nothing since his rookie year (albeit he's been out of position) and this coaching staff doesn't owe him anything. They don't need to run anything by him.

If this staff plays Chinn at FS again I'm gonna lose a lot of confidence in them right off the bat, at least on that side of the ball.

I'm not knocking you, but there's no chance that a front office asks players their thoughts on signings. I'm sure they've had internal discussions amongst themselves on how what role he best suits the team and relayed that to him.

He’s at 315

Bet we see Chinn put on 10-15lbs in this defense and be a game wrecker along the line of scrimmage moving forward. Needs to be involved in the run game and rushing the passer on blitz packages.

His playing weight is more 315-320 and not 300.
