Potential offense w/these adds, plus some preferred mock dudes:

QB: CJ Stroud (1), Andy Dalton

RB: Miles Sanders, Roschon Johnson (R4/5), Chuba Hubbard, Raheem Blackshear

TE: Hayden Hurst, Luke Schoonmaker (R4), Tommy Tremble

WR: Adam Thielen, DJ Chark, TMJ, Josh Downs (R2), Jonathan Mingo (R4/5)

*Would like to see someone an EDGE like Byron Young or CB Garrett Williams R3. Or could easily swap Downs/Williams type combo for a BJ Ojulari/Tyler Scott R2 & 3.

Our carryovers remaining (bold) are the young guys from Rhule's stink that still have a smidge of potential.

So we got a nice possession WR, The big catch radius jump ball WR, now we need a speed WR to keep the safeties honest. Chark/Hardman fit that role or maybe we draft one. Josh Downs seems good for that role as well.

Exciting stuff. A speed guy is missing like you said.  Early in the process I like Hyatt but he does seem like a one trick pony. I very good trick but separation will not be as easy against an NFL caliber  press.  I'm down for Downs.  Mims Jr also looked like lightning at the combine. Chark is also a possibility in FA.  That gives the QB two vet WR's, an all around RB and possibly the best TE we have had in ages. Hopefully Tremble, TMJ, and Shenault improve exponentially with better coaching, vet leadership, and a young QB.

I like all the signings (20% overpaid on most but understandable because we had to reach for them) except Hurst. I feel like we should have spent the 2nd rounder on one of these tight ends and saved the Hurst money for a decent 2nd corner. The corner market was not as expensive this go around. I really wish we didn't waste all that money on Donte.

I agree on paying donte but disagree about TE. A rookie TE in the second round is not likely to contribute much at all. TE is hard as hell to play and rookie TEs barely ever do anything in year 1. The best rookie TE season ever was from Mike Ditka in the 60s on a shorter schedule. With the way the league is pass happy these days, you'd think some rookie TE would come in and blow it all up but that hasn't happened.

Seriously it’s all very fluid. He didn’t sign the day he met with us and the day he met your friend. Who knows what happened between then and now. Regardless we should all be happy.

Yeah, I took that as he's not signing right now rather than he's not signing at all.

Other sources were saying the same thing.

With cap space still available, surely we are looking at Yannick as well as Chark, right?  Yannick isn’t great against the run, but we brought in a couple guys who specialize against the run.  Gotta think we are still targeting a pass rusher.

How much cap space do we have left? Very little when you factor in draft picks right ($6,676,146)? Or am I reading Sportrac wrong?

We have $23.5M in cap space with another $4M to $5M we could create via Brian Burns extension but that's the max we could create. They like to take ~$10M into the season for in-season signings. and $6.7M as you pointed out for Rooks. That means we have [$23.5M - $10M - $6.7M = $6.8M] available right now for this FA period which is more than enough to get some depth at D-line/LB/CB and one more WR and if we need more we can make that $12M in space with a Brian Burns extensions.
