I'm still confused how much money we have left...

As much as we need. With an extension here and a restructure there we can create more. The cap can be easily manipulated. Look at how far over the cap NO was yet they signed Carr to a big contract.  The cap was designed to promote parity but now it used by GMs to justify why they cant spend more money on a player yet when they really want someone they magically find the money and cap room to sign them.

As I look at the WRs in the draft that should be there at #39, I hope one falls to us.  However, there seems to be a shortage of WRs this year--so if one does not fall, we will be in bad shape if we don't grab a free agent or 2.  I thoroughly think that Marshall is going to prosper outside the shadows of Moore and Chosen in year 3, and I fully think Shenault was not used well last year.  If we can add Thielen,  I have no problems with going after JuJu or a Chark or even Landry.  Then in the draft, grab a WR again, but with low expectations.

Fully agree. I have no doubt we still pick a TE or WR with our round 2 pick no matter what, but if we sign Thielen, any other FA WR or rookie would have to be a speedster as we wouldn’t really have any on the roster other than Shi Smith. Hardman would be another great pickup

Man the Waller trade really hurt. We would be sitting pretty right now with a top 5 TE for the rookie.

Neither Waller nor Hurst makes any sense. They both get hurt a lot. Age 30 and 29 respectively. They both cost too much. Go get Schultz or Geisicki. Stupid to pay Hurst 9M if that is true (again i don't believe it).
