There's just no one on the FA market that excites me in the least. It still seems to me that Chinn might be getting shopped. Another poster yesterday mentioned the Bengals as a dance partner. They lost both their starting safeties yesterday and they have three WRs who are legit starting caliber. Chinn might be a lot more valuable to them than Tyler Boyd as a #3 WR and Tyler Boyd might be a lot more valuable to us as a #1 WR than Jeremy Chinn. Hmmm...

If we're shipping Chinn to the Bengals, I'd aim for Tee Higgins. If we have to throw a mid-round pick in addition to Chinn then so be it.

It's mostly #2's and slot guys. Still, it got stupid last year with those guys.

Meyers being that cheap is great news for us. We should be able to get an upgrade for a very reasonable price if we want.

I mean, Meyers would've been the 3rd highest paid WR in FA last year. Kirk's contract was eye popping but then the guy went out there and put up 1100 yards and 8 TDs so maybe the Jags weren't so crazy after all. The Rams did a dumb thing with Allen Robinson paying him for the guy he was a few years ago, not the guy he is now.

You ain't getting Tee Higgins.

I think he is a FA next year and they have to pay Burrow and Chase.  Maybe they try to get something for him instead of letting him walk?  I doubt it but it seems like there is a small path that could work....

The three of them are colluding to make it work contractually. They want to stay together.

Damn. Must be nice for the Bengals…

I think it's cool to see from the players too. They're all going to get paid fug you money. They're going to have generational wealth from these contracts. Better to sacrifice a bit of money that only really matters in terms of dick measuring bragging rights to keep the gang together and do some special things on the field. They could be this generation's Peyton Manning/Marvin Harrison/Reggie Wayne.

there may not be a true X waiting in this free agent pool but it doesn’t mean there aren’t very good slot guys available. That’s a starter. Panthers need to get in on one.

a guy like Lazard or theilen could replicate WR1 duties for a stint if you want, but there are legitimate options to be had for inside guys.

    • The other draft picks have turned out pretty well. Brooks will too.
    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
