Apparently we're trying to figure out a way to keep Shaq AND create cap space at the same time

We're hanging on to Elflein just in case we can't re-sign Bozeman

Not gonna lie, once we made the trade I had a feeling it will be Stroud, and one of the first things I thought of is that part of Shaq restructuring his deal to stay with the team will need to include a clause of him giving up his number for us to do it LOL

Let's rip this band-aid off. 

Let the dead cap fall off after this year and have a clean sheet in '24. No need to hold onto an older vet LB that doesn't fit and is costly. 

Also opens up $11M in cap space this year. That's your Bozeman money right there.

I don't think they're considering over paying Shaq, that's why his contract is in negotiations...

They said it’s a 2 year deal so you might have it on the money.

Shaq had career numbers last year and is one of only 8 players at any position who have made 100 or more tackles over the past 4 seasons.  He is a great fit for our 3-4 according to our DC and will be a big part of the defense. I told you he was too valuable not to rework a deal and that he wanted to retire a Panther.

He went on Twitter not long ago to specifically vent about fans wanting him to take less money. I'll be shocked if we got a big discount.
