So then, we’ve got a WR corps to build. What do y’all got?

At this point I'm hoping we trade our 3rd for Hopkins, draft a rookie WR with our 2nd rounder, and then sign Odell

Hopkins, Odell, 2nd Round Rookie, and TMJ is a pretty good WR room.

Particularly for a rookie QB, as Hopkins and Odell both have outstanding hands, which can be helpful for a rookie QB who's accuracy could be questionable.

Im sorry but I dont want Odell anywhere near a young QB

I really think Shenault can be a solid player for us. Around 700-800 yards 5+ TDs he's a monster with the ball in his hands. We add one or two guys in FA draft one earlyish and draft or sign a TE we are good for this year. Next year we can look at adding a big time playmaker and retool the defense.

Jakobi Meyers, Terrace Marshall, Shi Smith, and the 39th pick. The place we need the biggest upgrade is at TE and out of the backfield. TE especially. Rookie QBs love to use the middle of the field with those big bodied catch radius guys. Don't sleep on Terrace. 800 yards incoming for him.

We can easily re build this WR core. Sign TE Shultz in FA, a vet like Hardman, or Thieland, and draft BPA WR in round 2 along with TMJ, Shenault. Re sign foreman and eat.

This is spot on. Our Panthers have other needs as a team, so I dont know if we can sign OBJ and Hardman. We do have some cap flexibility now but what’s recommended by other posters. That’s a stretch. We should give our best shot at the players you mentioned and maybe use our 3rd rounders and 4th rounders to help the switch to a 3-4 defense. We dont need a lot on the defensive side to convert as most of our Defensive ends should have been edge/linebackers in a 3-4 anyway.

He had almost 500 last year and didn’t play a good portion of the year. The problem is, at this point, he can’t be trusted to stay healthy.

Paris Campbell is the name to watch.  Shouldn’t be too expensive and has high upside.  Is he a #1?  No way, but he’s a very competent WR to have.  The only real WR1 available is Nuk, and I’m not sure the Panthers have the ammunition to acquire him after this trade.  Jakobi is a borderline WR1, who I really like but not for the money he’s going to command.

Lazard is a very solid WR2, and DJ Chark is still young with some real upside as well.  Hopefully we stay away from Juju..

Panthers can really change the WR room quickly with a combo of FA and the draft, but have to be smart about it.  Flowers should be the target with the 2nd round pick, maybe Fitt has to trade up though to get him.

This TE class is also the deepest in years, and some solid FAs as well.

Marvin Mims in the draft. Gonna pound the table for him.

Give me Juju as a FA. I dont see him sticking in KC.  Hardman is all about the price, I doubt it's cheap enough, as the chiefs likely try to retain him as he just fits so well vs Juju. Chark is a fun one everyone wanted here when he was draft eligible. Again at what price?

Draft. Alright so I'm cooling down a little bit looking at the overall compensation and getting a feel for what the front office is going with. Clearly they didn't want to have both Moore's contract and Burns looming deal on the books while they try to build around the #1 pick QB. I can see the reasoning. But man we better be coming out of this draft with minimum one stud WR and one of the best TE's or it's going to feel underwhelming even with the top pick.

I don't think burns transitions well to a 3-4. Thats twice now not getting rid of him has burned us lol. Imagine if we had gotten that first for him. He also doesn't show up in big games (the few we had)
