IDK why some people from the media and on this forum keep counting this years 1st when we swapped.

We only gave up a 1st, 2nd (2) and a player on the last year of his rookie deal. This was an absolute steal to move up 8 slots for the top selection of QBs!!

To give his input to rhule and help run scouting and the draft preparation, but make no mistake Rhule had 100% roster control as it was in his contract.

Scott Fitterer absolutely deserves a large helping of blame for the miserable failures he and Rhule cooked up. Fitterer pined for Darnold and gave up so many picks, he had to trade one excellent player to recoup them.

Then he traded another excellent player to move up, only to move down and pick the fourth- or fifth-best QB in the draft. Now there's only one excellent player left, and he's gotta go soon, because his talent is stinking up the roster.

He was extended. There's three years left on his deal.
