Person mentions #3 as a likely target...

The Panthers are considering all options, but they know they would have to switch places with Arizona at 3 to ensure they get one of the top three QBs on their board. While the Panthers are impressed with Anthony Richardson’s raw talent, my sense is they view him as too big of a gamble to trade up for. Then — assuming they don’t pursue another free agent such as Jimmy Garoppolo — it becomes a matter of which QB they like best among Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and Will Levis.

QBs have gone 1,2,3 in 1971, 1999, and 2021. 2021 was Lawrence, Wilson, Lance 1,2,3.

So two years ago the Niners traded up to 3 for the third option.  Hopefully it won't cost THAT to do it this year....

They moved from 12th to 3rd for 3 firsts (counting their pick at 12) and a 3rd. That seems to be on par with what it would likely cost for us to move from 9 to 1.

Ouch, the guy that has gone 3rd hasn’t worked out much

I hope the Bears pick in the top 2.  Trade down with Houston is fine.  So, 2 QBs could go but not sold they go 1-3

With Allen having legal troubles they may pick Will Anderson at 1 now.  Waiting to trade up on draft day should benefit us

I'd argue Wilson has suffered a worse NFL career so far. He's trending towards being out of the league by the time his rookie contract is up.

I meant overall with the history of this occurrence.  I wouldn’t bet on Wilson or Lance atp

    • I'm not saying he should be working in the NFL. He did deserve some criticism as DC there. But Kyle Shanahan certainly did use him as a convenient scapegoat. Now there is no one left to throw under the bus. Anyways he could find his way back to the league in some capacity who knows. But he's old school and in the NFL you either adjust or you get left behind. All the same no hard feelings toward him he's a good guy.
    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
