Per Rich Eisen: “The Bears are long down the road to trading the first overall pick. The teams have been identified, compensation is being hammered out.”

The rules didnt help tua.  Young is going to get hit and every so often he is going to get severely slammed to the ground.  It just is what it is.  The question can that frame handle it over 17 games multiple years.  I doubt personally.  The kid is the smallest qb in modern history to be drafted.  If he works out it would literally be the first of its kind.  And lol at EC saying he can play at 215.  The dude struggled to get to 204 and then didnt do any of the drills.  If that is his true weight then I am sure he has no problem weighing at his pro day or interviews.

Half of Tua's concussions are because he simply got ragdolled.

Whoever drafts Young will be making a huge mistake. His height is a worry; however, his weight is an even bigger worry. Combine that with average, at best, arm talent and you have a big problem. He has the intellect, some intangibles and seems like a great kid. Those positives provide only a very limited shield from the violent realities of the NFL.

Doug Flutie is a flawed comparison. Wilson had an inch and much more weight. Murray has mobility and speed that Young lacks. Furthermore, I have my doubts about Murray's longevity as well.

Wrong. Young is a mini sized Mahomes. He is good at moving in the pocket and avoiding hits.

Oh man, the Huddle GMs who project their vast football intellect and scouting analysis for all of Panther nation to see. Thanks guys. Glad y’all are on our side and we know the career trajectory of these QBs now.

What is the point of a post like this? What else is there to discuss in the NFL world right now? If you don't want to participate in it then don't but fug off with shitting on other people actually wanting to discuss the things there are to discuss.

And everyone acknowledges that

I honestly expect every team that brings him on for a visit to have him step on a scale. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he doesn't re-weigh at his pro day. If he does and then goes through drills then I'll shut up about it. Yeah, he could tank up with water and add 5-6 pounds or so and then go take a leak before drills but that's about it.

Yeah I mean why would we want a career 67% passer, a little over 4k yards a season, 2.5:1 TD:Int ratio and almost 100 QB Rating

Is he Pat Mahomes? No, he's pretty good though and the fact that you think ending up like Dak is a DOWNSIDE is hilarious.

If we get a chance, I would take a shot at Stroud.  Actually, think he is a better choice than Young because of the size.

But that being said, those numbers are college numbers, and college numbers when he played on a team that had significantly more talent than their opponents.  He was pretty good in college.  Whether that xfers to the NFL is anyone's guess.  But as I said, I hope we can draft him.

Why didn't he do ANY drills at his 'playing weight' then?

What is the purpose of the nfl combine? To improve your draft stock, right?

He didn’t participate for the same reason many who are projected in the top 3-5 picks also skip out.

I don't believe for one second that Bryce Young is viewed as the number 1 QB in this draft.  Everybody in their momma know CJ Stroud is the top QB and will be the number one pick.  That is why we have to move up to the Bears' pick to get him.

Im not gonna say young isnt worthy, i just really prefer Stroud. To the point i would be a lil disappointed if we trade up and dont pick him.
