This is actually what ALL forms of the Cover 2 D are designed to do. Allow an O to move down the field without giving up big plays and forcing them into a FG or TO in the red zone.

That is why a lot of teams have stopped using it as thier primary base of D. It works if you have a fast smart D and an O that can score TD instead of FG. Otherwise you are constantly on your heels.

I will admit when I am wrong and I was off on Captain coming in. If he was blessed w/ a bigger body he would probably already be outperforming Gamble as a rookie. Kid can play...even if he is a midget.

If we want a shot against NE....Captain should shadow Welker and Martin should go back to being heavily mixed in.

i really don't care if we give up 1,000 yards if we only give up 6 points. yardage is only a stat. giving up alot of points is how you lose games.
