My money is on it being Levis right now. It think they try to trade with the Cardinals if possible and let someone else get Young and Stroud.  Just a feeling I have based on nothing but my itching left testicle.

If it's your left testicle then I believe it.  Your right one is a damn liar!

Personally, I favor Stroud. But if this staff sees Levis as the future, I'm in.

Same. I prefer Stroud, Richardson, or Young over Levis but for the first time ever we actually have a coaching staff absolutely chock full of QB coaching experience so if they determine that Levis is the guy then let's go.

But why?

Speaking only for myself, I just can't shake the feeling that he's Zach Wilson 2.0. From what I've seen, his footwork and accuracy leave much to be desired. I could very well be wrong, and if we draft him, I'd be rooting for him all the way, but nonetheless I'd still be disappointed on drafting Levis and missing out on the other three.

His ceiling isn't as high as AR or Levis from what he can do physically, but our QB coach compared him to Joe Burrow which I think is his ceiling clearly.  I would still consider that high.

Didn’t he also toss in Goff as a comp as well? I just think we should temper Stroud expectations just slightly is all.

Most of those same knocks apply to AR, but they're overlooked by fans because he's a "superior athlete".

Trading to 3 makes sense to me for the right price - by Draft Value we could get to #3 only giving up our 2nd RD pick this year and next (#39 pick only).  We would still have the late 2nd this year and keep all our 1st in the future.  If that lands us Stroud, Young, or Levis I think it is worth it.

Plus if we did feel the need to jump to #1 it should really only take an additional 1st rounder next year to do it, which overall means we gave up one 1RD and two 2RD's to get to the first spot....that isn't horrible.

Great in theory but draft chart goes out the window when you have multiple teams trying to get there to get a franchise QB. I think the absolute floor for #3 is #9, #39, 2024 1st

I don’t see the Wilson comps for Will. Somewhat Darnold but even those, to me, aren’t very accurate.

Just my opinion, most of this board wants Stroud and a lot of people would be fine with anyone but Levis. I echo the first sentiment but not the second one. If Reich and company believe in Levis, there’s no reason for fans to be down in the dumps about it. At least until he plays a few games.

The more I think about it the more I think we have to get to 1. Sounds like we are locked in on Stroud. You can’t risk Houston grabbing him at 2 if that’s your guy.

Come on down, CJ

"Have to" is just desperation...no we do not have to.

He did.  A Goff tier QB is the most reasonable expectation.  His CEILING is Burrow.  Most QBs don't reach their project ceilings though.  I'm hoping for somewhere in between with our staff as good as it is.

Here's hoping. Stroud with this coaching staff would be incredibly exciting. Especially if we can make some shrewd free agent signings to fill in some gaps, like WR2, pass rusher, another corner, LB... It'd be nice if we trade up to 1 ahead of free agency so we can already know what we're going to do in the draft at QB to help shape our FA.

I just saw where we might be interested in Mecole Hardman. I would love that signing.
