Given that the talk is they think a top five pick would be too high for him, that'd be kind of a shock.

He is going to.keep swinging for homeruns. At least that is what he said. He will likely cover his bases by moving up for a rookie and getting a vet or two as well. If you cover your bases and do what Tepper wants you dont have to worry about getting fired.

This may have already been discussed in one of the many QB threads but I wonder how much stock we can put into the AR talk.

 

It seems odd that we’re apparently such an open book in regards to him and Levis when our coaching search was kept under wraps so well. 
 

I understand this is different as there are many more people involved (scouts, etc) but do wonder how much can be believed.

Yeah the coaching stuff is behind closed doors. I can't imagine how much speculation and opinion is shared between scouts and journalists at the combine. It's all BS til we actually get to Pro Day visits and 30 visits, then it could still be some bluffing going on about who or who not we visit with

I'd rather do the right thing so when I apply for future NFL GM jobs I can say "well I didn't cripple my last franchise in a desperate attempt to save my job".
