Ohio State coaches literally preferred Fields to Stroud - he went 11th in his Draft and has been so-so in the NFL.

Young is 5'10" and plays at 180lbs. He's going to inspire Jim Ross gifs.

Richardson is a project.

Who are you trading 3 first round picks away for here?!

Don't get me wrong, I'm fine walking away with any of those 3 with the #9 pick (or a slightly higher pick if it just costs one of our 2nd round picks this year), but damn nobody here is worth the gamble that a lot of you are willing to make.

Well, it's up to the FO.

You're a Sam Darnold believer. Please take several seats and let Fitterer do his thing.

our first and both seconds this year give us 2152 in draft capitol....that's more than enough to get us to #4, not enough for #3...but that's on the chart.  Atlanta and Vegas will be able to offer higher picks in the first this year, and but not as much in the second round.  It will take at least next year's first to outbid them to get to #3.

Indy and Houston can move up for far less capitol because they are so close to #1, and the Bears can still get a great defensive player.

Getting to #3 is doable but will hurt...getting to #1 will really hurt....we can do it by the chart, but competition from other teams for 3 or 1 will cost everyone.  Bears in a great position...they could trade back twice and still pick in the top 6 or 7 and get a ton of draft capitol.

In other words, If we move to #1 and the dude flops, we are hamstrung until 2026.  Wonderful!  I get the other end of the argument too, but the downside is much worse than the upside is great.

In fairness it’s tough to speculate on that. If the upside is multiple championships, well I think we’d all be happy with that upside.

Speculation my dude.  Which #1 overall picks as a QB has multiple Championships?  I can think of 4 off the top of my head in the past 40 years.  Actually 3* because even though Eli went #1 overall he actually got traded to a different team.

Exactly this. Media hype is blowing this out of proportion. The fact that none of them are really separating themselves all that much (all have great reports in their own rights) helps us in terms of being able to be patient.
