Per Matt Miller.. Panthers all in on Richardson?

We all knew the physical stuff would be easy for him.  He looks like the stud athlete we knew he was.  Passing in shorts is easy so, cool.

But you have to go back to the games.  Daniel Jeremiah went and charted one of his lesser games, and found that there was a lot of good that AR did in spite of his team not helping.

 

So man, he's a really intriguing player.  Teams are saying he killed it in interviews, one of the smartest guys that they spoke to, etc.  Part of me thinks that a lot of this is draft talk trying to play the game with other teams.  Maybe get someone to overvalue AR.  Or he's the real deal.

I don't know.  I'm excited for whoever we manage to pick, regardless of what we have to give up to get them.

Edit:  Just saw AR toss those long balls.  Man, he's just got arm strength for days...

There is no way you can predict that. Every QB wants to be the best. At the end of the day it ?comes down to their work ethic and talent. It's hard to have both. This kid has the potential to be both.

I agree.  Mostly because we have some good coaches that can help him become the QB we want.

He has work to do, but his pocket presence and arm aren't something you can teach.

His offensive line and receivers weren't impressive at all.

I will say he breaks tackles and delivers punishment like Cam.

I watched  a couple of Florida games.  I’d say AR had the most wretched group of receivers since Cam Newton, Philly Brown anyone, Funchess, Bojangles Benjamin…

One poster said AR was on the 5th and 6th receiver due to injuries

But upon further review watching the highlights of Byrce Young vs Georgia, Anthony Richardson vs Georgia, and CJ Stroud vs Georgia.

Stroud stood out the most to me as far as command of the offense, and being accurate with the football.

I'm intrigued by the potential of Richardson. But man you have to get it right with #1 pick

this isnt trolling. his issues and injuries are minor. he slides hes fine.

He hasn't finished an actual game yet.  Hopefully he can stay healthy but a bruised knee, plus a concussion this early combined with his style of play is a little concerning.

I don't think so, but Stroud is looking tempting though it's still very early.  I also had a draft crush on Stroud so I am a little bias here.
