oh. weird. that doesn't seem to make any sense.

That's why I say it must be for the fact he left the scene.  Had he stayed it would have most likely resulted in a fine for just street racing. It's a stretch to say that his involvement resulted in the death of someone else unless they can prove he caused the wreck. The simple fact they were racing is trying to connect one to the other. A good layer will get this reduced.  I'm not minimizing the other person's death in all this. But street racing is extremely dangerous and there's a reason it's illegal. But the sad fact is theres folks who die form excessive speed and racing everyday.  Now will they try to make an example out of him? They might.

That's an odd thing to say a this point. Teams wouldn't have grades on these guys yet. They haven't finished the combine. They haven't had visits. They have pretty much just started their draft evaluations based on the explanations of how the timetables work for the draft.

Now maybe the key point is that they are saying scouts grades and not final team grades or draft boards.

Teams have perpetual grades on prospects as well as a preliminary draft board throughout the season.   Of course that is always evolving with the season and scouting reports and the combine but they dont go into March/April blind

Fitterer said yesterday that they look at prospects in next years class as well. Said they are always looking to the future. They are always scouting for talent and not just the current class.

I would say they already have mountains of data on these kids. The combine is mostly for interviews and to confirm what they've already learned about them. I think they know who they would go all in on and who they could develop over time to be a stud.

Yep the combine is more or less the place they can talk to prospects with unlimited access.  They only have an allotted number they can actually bring in.   I think the number is 20 or so.

    • The other draft picks have turned out pretty well. Brooks will too.
    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
