If and this is a big IF, the coaches think he's the franchise QB for the next 4-5 years, then sure.  But as a two-year bridge QB?  That's a lot of assets tied up for something that's not a long term solution, especially when that money can be allocated to other positions to shore them up.

We could go after mike white for 4 yrs cheaper than what Carr wants for 1 yr.

If I were to guess, I'd say it probably depends at least somewhat on whether you think they're going to stick with you
