I think the % odds of Carr being who we hope is at best even with what we would get drafting a quarterback. When you add in the fact we would have to pay him 35 million a year that's a BIG miss if it doesn't work in our favor. At least with a draft pick if you miss you aren't sinking your salary cap too.

The fanbase loves taking on used QB's that other teams get rid of.

 

Don't know why people want a mid QB. Even if we get Carr what is he doing with this offense who has even lesser weapons than the Raiders.

 

We don't have the best WR in football or a top 5 TE. Even if we did Carr showed you he can't lift those guys either.smh

I don't see a point of drafting him to sit for a year or two.  There's a guy like Richardson every year in the draft.  Now that I thought about it and watched a little tape, I'd be cool with the Skoronski pick.  Skoronski would solidify us having one of the best OL's in the league.  Corbett is coming off the ACL tear so we have a hole there.  I'd also swing Christensen to RG.  

Icky, Skoronski, Bozeman,  Christensen, Moton.  If Corbett is 100 percent I'd switch Christensen back to primary rotational player.

It just reeks of a Kirk Cousins kinda move. Good enough to make it to the wild card game every other year and lose, always picking around 15-20. And it's not even really your own guy you drafted. I think Cousins is better than Carr and most on the Vikings message board are ready to move on and draft a guy instead of paying Kirk $35M a year over and over again with the same mediocre results

Watching Richardson at UF last year was reminiscent of watching Howell in his final year at UNC. It was basically a one man show because the surrounding cast pretty much sucked. At least Howell had Josh Downs. Richardson didn't have anything but dudes with cinder blocks for hands.

That’s the issue. The people that are freaking out over him possibly being the pick likely watched very little of his play last year. They just read the stats and freak out. AR would actually sit back and go through progressions and throw some nice 2nd/3rd option passes to some transfer junior college WR running the wrong route and dropping his pass. Florida’s offense was a poo show. The professionals are doing a much deeper dive which is why he will go in the 1st this year despite his stars.
