Don't mind it actually, I don't think our O-Line is as strong as you guys think. I also think Moton is candidate for regression. Also Corbett won't play any of training camp with the ACL tear. Christiansen can move to RG, and this guy at LG. If offensive line is the best position on the board, then so be it

He’s either whiffed completely or is doing some 5G level thinking.  Is this OT even a top ten talent?  If so, start him at guard (2023) and then move him to RT in 2024 and cut Moton?

We have too many other needs to be doing this at 9.

Is there some Taylor Moton news coming?  Is he gonna surprise retire or get cut?  I've been seeing his name too often compared to his usual, quiet news cycle.

Then I looked at what Taylor Moton is going to be costing us over the next three seasons. And Moton, while still good, hasn't been great and those salaries he's scheduled for really demand greatness. 

A starting tackle on the first round salary schedule for four years and with a fifth year extension looks really attractive from a dollars and cents sense. Bookending it with another first rounder (Icky) on the same line looks really genius both in cost and impact.

Still, I'd rather see a DE or TE in that spot for us.

That's a pretty decent argument for taking one, but I think if we're gonna go that route, it should happen next year. DE/WR are too big of a need this year.

Based on our historical draft strategy related to OL his projection is over a decade too early.  Our future first round tackle is still in 4th grade.

Yup.  While not what I would want there, the rational is solid.

He could play G for a year, and move on from Moton after this year and kick him out...again, wouldn't love it, but focusing on your offensive line isn't the dumbest move in the NFL....and is likely one of the best.

I think some of these guys don't know enough about Carolina to know Moton exists and is a good RT.
