Those big casinos aren't built on winners, they're built on idiots who say gamble big.

And the billionaires that built them had someone gamble big in their family to make it big. Bezos, Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs all gambled big on themselves. We could play this game all day…

Because gambling smart is better

The “smart” gamble would be an opinion that only our staff is going to weigh in on. One first round pick for Player B at 9 who they believe they can develop, signing Carr for X amount against the salary cap, or trading up and losing X amount of assets for Player A. One isn’t really “gambling smart” vs the others IMO. It’s easier to bounce back if you miss on Player B at 9 than the others, but there is probably more risk. Just weighing out positives vs negatives.

Because I think there are better prospects to gamble on. Am I not allowed to have an opinion lol?

Thats not it at all dude.  You've been coming on here now for quite some time mockingly asking "whats so great about AR, why is he such a great prospect?"  and then people point out why, they show you videos and reports from scouts/analysts you still keep your head in the sand.  And then 20 minutes later you are asking the exact same question.  If its shtick then its annoying.   You can have a different opinion but to act like he doesnt have high level traits and he isnt a top prospect is just pretty dumb and telling.

Mods. I wasn’t sure where to put this so pls merge if appropriate

Per Ryan Fowler on tweeter

Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker has met extensively with the Raiders, Panthers, Giants, Saints, and Cowboys during the pre-draft process, per source.

The dual-threat talent is expected be healthy and ready for training camp after suffering a torn ACL in Nov.

I don't mind Hooker and it would fit nicey with shoring up the left side of the OL. "

In Daniel Jeremiah's mock draft 2.0 on NFL.com, he has the Carolina Panthers staying put at No. 9 and selecting Northwestern offensive tackle Peter Skoronski.

"For this mock, I’m assuming the Panthers don't trade up to land a quarterback and instead go the veteran route at the position. Skoronski can slide inside to play guard in Carolina, teaming up with Ikem Ekwonu to give the Panthers two building blocks for the offensive line. New head coach Frank Reich knows the impact of investing heavily in the line of scrimmage, having spent time on the Eagles’ staff before he left for Indianapolis." If he is there or one of the other top OLinemen to go with Ekwonu.

What is telling? And no, no one has taught me anything about him. Highlight videos mean nothing. To ME it's about stats and college experience. His are not that great. No one has shown/told me how much better his arm is than the others, how faster he is, how he's THAT much more elusive than the rest, how he willed his team time and time again to win, etc. All I've seen is a bunch of fanboys like yourself who are in love with his size and what he may be able to do in the NFL.

Give me Stroud.

I want Stroud too but it would cost a serious haul to move up to get him. If the kid isn't basically walking on water in his rookie season this place will be roasting him 24/7. But I'm warming to the possibility of keeping our extra picks taking Anthony Richardson at 9 and stacking more offensive talent. Added bonus is Brooklyn Bully will blow his stack.
