Couple of take aways...

Coaching staff analysis of players on the roster begins this week.

Reich wouldn't get into specifics on prospective QBs, process has only just begun.

Jim Caldwell really gives off a calm, competent and confident leadership vibe.

Panthers are lucky to have his knowledge and experience to lean on.

Reich confirmed soundly our base defense will be 3-4.

i only got to listen to about 15 minutes of it before work interfered, but what i saw was really good. 

like was tweeted earlier, reich will start off calling plays but will be handing it off to brown at some point. he said it will be hard to let go of it, but as he gets to know brown, it will be easier. said brown has been really impressive and keeps getting more impressive with every meeting.

also said it will be a base 3-4, but will be very multiple. the interview with jourdan rodrique in this thread goes pretty deep into what kind of things to expect from both evero and brown.

also talked about jim caldwell being a great mentor to him since reich's beginning as a coach with the colts. said they have stayed good friends  ever since. lots of respect towards caldwell and seemed honored to have caldwell a part of what is happening here. said that his role would be much like a head coach and would be involved in pretty much all aspects and phases.

This whole thing of giving actual answers to questions as opposed to just spewing whatever bullsh-t comes to your mind is going to take some good and used to.

These were both great interviews. I love everything I'm hearing about the hiring and collaboration process. Love that Thomas Brown was a guy Frank didn't know but brought him in and ended up hiring him. That's the way to build a great staff. I think Frank and Jim both exude the kind of thoughtful ego-less coaching we want in the building and to grow our future coaches under. I love that we have a plan for now and for the future as guys move on. This is more of a seven year plan than anything Rhule put together.

 

Can't wait to hear from the young coordinators.
