Things you saw of Moore that you didnt like

that deep pass to smith would have been a touchdown if it wasn't a blimp.

i can't really blame him for locking on to receivers since he's only got two

Umm.....what about the TEs? :P

And I didn't like that he didn't throw enough or at least a throw for a TD. 169 yards & INT. is another I didn't like. Should've done better against a 1-10 team before the game was over & they're 1-11 now.

His pocket awareness was reminiscent of a rookie... and well, he's only started 4 games, so what can you say? At times though he was able to recognize it and extend the play long enough for a completion.

yeah I agree. His pocket awareness was that of a guy who's been in the NFL for three years but has had only 3 starts; shaky, with moments where he looked like he knew what he was doing. But I can't help but think that, (if we actually leave him in) this will improve in leaps and bounds game by game.

he makes his first read very obvious and locked on a few the entire way....but I trust his throws and to not make the throw it isn't there more than Jake. and he was obviously trying to get the ball out quick....which is a good thing and probably factored in.

I can deal w/ the bad I saw from him in comparison to the bad of the other guy.

he showed good decision-making and ability to make the correct reads.

average throws though. zero touchdowns and 1 interception against a 1-10 team isn't very good.

yeah, his stat line wasn't very good......but overall I thought his play was more of what Fox use to get out of Delhomme. The QB ain't the star in this offense and shouldn't have the nice stat line. Run, play defense, and be able to hit a few key throws and do nothing to kill the team.

One thing to consider when looking at his stats is how they played out across the game... He started out strong, got a bit weaker near the end and helped the Panthers finish off the game late by us back up by a field goal late (even though I think that if they had given the offense a chance they coulda had a TD...). After the Smith play, I think they ran for it three straight times and kicked the FG. Foxball.

Other than the int and overthrowing Smith in the endzone, I can't really complain much. The guy hadn't started in a long time, so it was a good effort for his first time back out there. He didn't really have a chance to be more than a game manager in this one.

It was nice to see a QB actually hit Smith on the deep ball. That's something we've been missing with Delhomme.

he started off throwing the ball a little high, but that seemed to get better as the game went on.

the overthrow in the endzone was pretty bad.

the int should not have been thrown, but I dont think he thought the LB would close that fast.

overall Id say I was impressed, 4th start in 3 years, so you expect a little shakiness and looking staring down a receiver from time to time. I just wish his next 4 games were against less opponents so he can really grow, I think we are going to be playing from behind in a few of em.

Overall, I thought he was great. Yeah, we can pick him apart, but hey the guy has been on the bench for 2 years. I felt a little pick me up before game time in expectation of what he can and could do, I thought he delivered well. I am like most on this board, a little fed up with the way things have been going for us so far. A little fresh air is what we needed today and it felt so good. Yes!!!!!
