What is it with this fanbase and their love for bridge vet QB's?

I don’t agree with your terms. Teddy was signed to a 3 year deal. All the ones I mentioned, the QB in place had been there for years. Teddy was signed when we could have easily traded up. Detroit mentioned trades and the Giants easily would have been willing with so many good tackles. We didn’t draft a rookie until 2022. Baker was a clear bridge since we drafted Corral.

Also, just because you draft a rookie doesn’t mean the other QB is done. Rodgers didn’t start until year 4. Jimmy G didn’t replace Brady. Jordan Love didn’t replace Rodgers. Mahomes wasn’t guaranteed anything. Clearly, now we know he was better than Smith.

If we can't agree on the definition, then we have nothing more to discuss on this.

A lot of people are saying, "Since Bridgewater, Darnold, and Mayfield didn't work out, this is stupid."

Carr is on a different level.  He has been successful and his bad year is better than any QB we have had since 2018.  A team could get 5 quality years out of him, based on his playing style.  During that time, you find and groom his replacement.  How did Green Bay do when they signed Aaron when Brett was getting it done?  Did the Niners have a bad problem when they signed Young to sit a while behind Montana?  So it could be part of a winning formula, if you think long term.  What about Hurts behind Wentz?  Even if the starter is not so great, it gives the franchise time to develop a second or third rounder and not have to draft early round 1 and hope he is the messiah.  Many ways to go about this, so if you are certain you are right and denouncing alternative opinions, all you are proving is how narrow minded and uncreative people can be.

Yeah, because drafting a QB would suddenly make our defensive backfield not suck ,We don't beat the Bucs in that game with Mahommes

And let's look at other cast off QBs recently

Tom Brady, won superbowl

Matt Stafford, won superbowl

Russel Wilson , lol

Nobody is saying Carr is the answer, he isnt, but we just have other holes to fill, and the best QBs will be gone by the time we pick, plus there are no Cams,Lucks or Burrows in this draft , and we are going to have to leverage out future to move up to get them, and what if there is another 2024 or 2025 prospect that is better, but we will be in Denvers shape

Nah you can just be honest you want a black QB regardless of how good they are.

Nah, it has to be race related doesn't it, it couldn't have to do with the fact he would be the best player available if Baltimore let's him go , certainly the best record of any QB potentially on the market

When the mf actually plays. Carr is cheaper, Carr doesn’t require draft capital, and Carr fits Frank’s system. The dude trashes every white QB on these boards in search of the next Cam Newton.

Idc if the dude is alien , if he’s the best QB available and can win my black ass will be in his jersey every Sunday.

Aaron Rodgers is black?

Take your race bait to somebody else.

Nah man it ain’t like that. You don’t give af about what’s best for the team you just get on here and spew your poo about AR, Cam, and any QB that don’t run is garbage. Act like half of us don’t you know you got like 5 accounts you log into to back yourself up on. And now I call you out on it and I’m the bad guy.

Why are you race baiting?

Do you even realize 3 of the top 4 QB's happen to be black?

My man stop with the nonsense. Keep it football.

If A player is really that good and someone lets them go, a smart team is going to ask "Why?".

I know some will just say "money" (as if that alone is an answer) but then it behooves you to ask why that team didn't think they were worth the money.

And if they're a smart team (which the Ravens are) It should give you pause.
