Kudos to Godfrey

Why does everyone hate Godfrey so much that they won't even acknowledge a good game from him? He looked just as good, if not better, than Martin out there.

Godfrey sucks. He had a better game than what he normally brings to the table......his good game still doesn't compare to how Martin plays the position. Godfrey isn't a S.

Godfrey sucking isn't really something you can argue against.

He made a great catch on a ball thrown nowhere near ANYONE but him. That isn't great coverage or an adjustment......it was a nice catch though and cashing in on a gift.....which is a good thing.

this whole Godfrey nonsense is just like Jake's last Atlanta game....one medicore/average game doesn't erase what he is and what kind of liability he is to the team.

at the end of the day, what matters is Godfrey made a play. He made several of them.

i support starting Martin over Godfrey. but that doesn't mean Godfrey shouldn't get credit for the plays he does make, and this thread is about the plays he did make. the kudos are for Godfrey making those plays in today's game, not for his past performances or for the coaching decision to start him.

All I'm saying is Godfrey played just as well today as Martin has the past few weeks. I agree Martin's past few weeks were better than Godfrey's past starts, but he showed up today and played well. I just don't understand why he's hated so much that when he plays well he still gets ripped on. Martin's INT vs Arizona when Gamble knocked it up in the air went right into his hands and he's the next coming of Ed Reed. But Godfrey makes an INT that was actually more difficult and everyone says it was thrown right at him and he deserves no credit.

Yeah and in that same Arizona game Martin did a full 30+yard sprint to make a momentum changing Interception.

Again it's safe to assume you haven't paid attention for the last 4 weeks.

he made 2 plays....and then there was a lot of Godfrey just being Godfrey out there today. Not being in position and stuff getting real easy at times b/c he is nowhere close to being in position to get in on a lot of plays.

it wasn't great and even though it was an improved performance it doesn't compare to rookie Martin.

no, the more difficult INT was the AZ one.....where Martin was in position to come over and pick the ball thrown to the WR streaking down the sideline. That is the thing about Martin....even though he has played in few games....there are many examples of plays that show better Saftey play than Godfrey's pick today.

Sorry, but Martin look better than Godfrey. He has more INT. catch than Godfrey did during his rookie season compare to Martin right now this season. While I give Godfrey credit for that INT. today, I still prefer Martin take his place & Godfrey should play on the position that suit him better.
