I'm ready to see Svech get his groove back by sending tom wilson flying!  Expect a couple fights tonight with both teams setting the tone for Saturday's matchup.

Ovechkin has left the team for family reasons and he may not be back for the stadium game. There are no flights between the United States and Moscow, so he'll be flying a lot:

The Caps are still without 1st pair D-man John Carlson and 1st line winger Tom Wilson is still out as well.

He’s going back to Russia? Hopefully, he doesn’t get drafted even though he is a competitor of the canes.

Caps message boards say he does this every season when he goes into a scoring drought.

Timing sucks because he likely won't be back before Sunday and the Caps could easily drop out of the last wildcard spot before Sunday's stadium game.

And you know the league and TV networks are sh!tting bricks right now if the Caps go on primetime without Carlson, Ovechkin, Wilson and Dowdy.

It has to be but that’s the dumbest design ever if so. Everything should be contained to the back of the net. 
 

With the use of tape I guarantee that thing is going to pop out at some point looking at its attachment mechanism.
