Wanting and expecting it to be Howell. Was watching live when the trade was announced and just knew he was the selection, until it wasn’t. Not that I think Howell is going to be an all-pro, but I loved his value for our 3rd round pick. Knowing he lasted until the 5th made me sick we traded up. 
 

Obviously, Purdy looks like the biggest miss with that pick now, but I’m not claiming I saw that coming.

Oh he is awful. Nothing is worse than a smug comment from someone who doesn’t know what he is talking about. I mean we signed a former QB offensive HC to help us find a QB. Top 10 drafted OL are typically LTs (like the one we literally drafted last year in the top 10). We aren’t drafting OL in the top 10…

Purdy has a lot going for him in SF. HC, OL, TE, RB, and WR1 are some of the league’s best. Howell looked decent with much less in Washington.

Maye would be a top 3 pick in this year’s draft if eligible. Y’all can blah blah about ACC and talent if you’d like, but 6’4, 220lb QBs who can run and have an excellent feel for the game don’t come around too often.

We need to grab one of these QB's. We can't keep going the vet QB route. At least draft one and try to develop them. I mean that's why we hired Frank for right?

100% I’m on board with getting a QB I’m just nervous about giving him a rookie QB plus a lack of 1st round picks for his first two years. 
 

I really hope we stay put but that’s mostly because my formative fan years were with Fox/Hurney.

He would be buts it’s early.  He will be dissected just like everyone else.  Do like Drake Maye and his pedigree

As a neutral Auburn fan I agree. He might be the top pick…
